Great turnout overall - a proper grid!Many thanks to SCB for setting this up and bringing in the crowds.
Ed mentioned in the Shoutbox that he enjoyed it - I certainly did.
Great to see Jonathan managed to work around his Thrustmaster issues - and given he’d not been able to drive much in LMU, he did well.
Calculating fuel and pit-stop strategy on the fly was brain-melting - the whole business of non-incremental fuel volumes, discounting partial laps from the tank, never having timed how long it takes to pit etc… Nightmare!
I thought the event was about the right length - and I didn’t miss the private qualifying of the official Daily Races. Fuel x2 made the pit strategy interesting (to say the least) and tyre management was sufficiently on the edge already (I ended up changing just the front-left at the second pitstop - I’d have struggled otherwise - and if I’d changed all four, I’d have dropped right into the pack behind me).
I’d love to do more of this!
