The overlay gives me some issues as well and for what ever reason the track was in the middle of my screen and would not move. . I had no time to fix so I had to turn it off. I just noticed a new plugin update.

I understand you use map of track?
If so, dont.
It is really impossible to follow track from a map and it is misleading to understand how a turn should be attacked.
When you see racers having a map on their wheel, they only use it for the turn numbering so they dont make a mistake communicating wrong turn with pits.

Please correct me if Im wrong at this as I never used this plugin.
