But well... I guess it would be possible with a total prohobition against using ESC in quali. You can choose to leave garage whenever you want to, but then you can not enter garage again until you are happy with your laptime. Repairs can be done just like in race. We have to take in to account how much fuel we add, and might need to enter pits for refuel before quali is over.
This sounds very hardcore... but I think it could work. But there are some issues of course. For example, if someone is disconnected/game ctd, can he enter server and join the quali again? Who can assure it was not intentional because he wanted fresh tires/remove some fuel etc??
Is he not allowed to join quali again after his ctd? Well rf2 is not very stable atm... it could be unfair too.
