Have to start putting in some longer runs and trying to find a setup myself. I have this weird thing that I'm preferring to drive the EVE F1 instead of the EVE F1B. I don't have a lot of experience per se in the F1 car but I have noticed this at several tracks now. The extra downforce creates a very tail happy car, the car without the wings never feels quite planted but also can be quite comfortable on the edge.
Has anybody else really liked or been on the pace without the extra wings? In my first 50 or so laps around the track I've a current race pace of mid-23. I'm sure this can be improved upon but it hasn't come so easily. I can't just easily jump into the F1B with the same setup because I can't really keep the car on the track. definitely will need to do some more testing...
I see the F1 version as quite useless to be honest. The F1B is the way to go because the extra downforce in front is very welcome, and the oversteer can always be cured with setup, but I also prefer a little oversteer to help the car turn in, it also saves the front tires a bit. The way I feel, it's either the F1B, or the F1C for very fast tracks like Monza 10k.
I think you should learn the F1B and find a setup for it, but you can do however you want
In our Nordschleife event there was a guy called Roland Haans, and he was very quick with the F1 version. He was driving exactly same laptimes as me in race, until he was disconnected or something (?), but anyway, that's a very unique track...
