Yes, but IIRC this only works the first lap. If you retire to garage and go out again, you'll need to do this 1½ lap again

Yes, this is the best answer (almost). Does not matter practice or qually.
Very 1st time out of the pits, take the banking route, 1/2 lap later your lap starts at the line.
That only works once, a bug I don't know.
Every time out of the pits from then on, take the left route. You then need to do the full course + banking before your lap starts.

13 laps, lucky for some.
