My personal opinion

I can not get it - my wheel is like totally different. I was running a pretty controlled low 8.0 to high 7.9 or something with very little problem before. now, it took an hour to get one lap and crashed hard on the next. I keep trying the force feedback settings - but can't get it yet. nor a lot of different setups. if I don't hit on it by race time tomorrow, I will not enter this race. have enough trouble staying out of the fast guys way with something I can count on, do not want to screw up someone's race... :-\

Jerry Im sorry but I object to this.

You are tons faster than me, your laps show it, and you know this track ten times more than me, youve been around it so much more than I have.
Saying what you are saying is like suggesting that all we, slower than you, should not take part in the race.

But, this place from the start was made for all skills and all abilities.
This is a place where we race between friends and enjoy, and we forgive mistakes that somebody will do.

The biggest let down for the rest, is not showing up in a race for the reasons you mention.
Any real life problem is excused, but not feeling fast enough??
Many of us have shown up even with fever from flu, just to fill the grid and let the rest enjoy themselves.

Please reconsider.

Hi Jerry,
Agree 100% with Nikos, please reconsider.

Last night I didn't know about your issues with the new versions of the track when I did a joke about the number of laps, sorry about that :-X

Jerry Sr4l is all about having fun , its not life or death , dont worry about other peoples races , the faster guys will compensate and take care of themselves , they were the slower drivers at one time .

Yes the track does feel different to me as well , i tried changing my setup etc but in the end i finshed right back where i started , its just a case of getting used to the new feel of the track , also last night auto blip wasnt on , for me this unsettled the backend terribly during downshifts and made the car feel very nervous , but that should be sorted for race night . If you need a setup yuo can try mine .

I think the ffb has been reduced to combat the rattling on this track so again its just getting used to the new feel of the track , after 3 laps you will be back up to speed i Betcha
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

Well said Nikos,

I am by far a fast driver but still strive to do the best I can and feel elated by just getting some points.

Agree with all of the above, so please reconsider and take part in the race Smile

Being aware that one might struggle on a specific track and thinking of other peoples races shows your good racing ettiquete and just because you are aware of it I think you will be fine Smile Never should this be a reason not to take part! Incidents can happy, even with the best of intentions. Chances are high I'm going to spin at some point tonight and if I'm lucky no one is close by and get caught up in my mistake. If I'm not someone will, can't help that. But Sr4L is a great place with a lot of nice people and although I would feel bad about it, it wouldn't be that much of a problem in the end Smile

So, again please reconsider, would be a shame to miss you tonight!

wow, didn't know this was all going to cause such a thingy .. I am sorry for showing my frustrations and for being such a "drama case" not my intentions. as I have stated to nikos, I was most worried about being "uncontrollable" I could not for the life of me understand why nothing was working, wheel felt terrible, brakes - everything. and I couldn't get around - at all - have since worked with wheel settings to a point I "feel" under control more. now work on going faster. thank you for all you concerns, I do appreciate it Wink
enuff said - on to the race today...

I'm a fast but very irregular driver, often making mistakes. We have plenty of room for everyone here.
Tonight I'll try to make it to the race, I will try to do some practice now. My main objetive is to finish not caring who is ahead or behind as I know I will not be able to give much battle, just trying to keep it on track.
