another good race. had fun..
qually went as expected - 28's - you fast buggers.. I didn't want to show you up and settled for 12th :

first race went well, finished 8th - had a battle with tim no computer, wheel, hay bail or etc. etc... problems ;D

2nd race I didn't do as well in the first stint. I will blame it on that set of tires, although I think it was the driver :o after the pitstop, mel and I had a good battle going - I got my head out of my - well, you know - and drove a bit better.. I got 8th again and tim got 6th - so good points for the old guys !!

I see that DJ, Gorka - and dan - sounds like a band - did the podium's - can't you guys share???? :-\

Qualy
-------
Did my pb rather quick so even DjC was quicker I preffered to save energies for the races as everytime I attempted to improve my laptimes I was way all over the place.

Race1
-------
Had no idea grid positions were so close here, so the moment I saw I was side by side with David and also on the rubbered line I had great hopes for the start.
And so it happened, took the grip and got the lead at the first corner. The first 8 laps were a constant pressure from David Behind. I was confident that overtaking here is really difficult and so that helped me to keep the lead until the end of lap 8 were I entered pits to defend my position.
Unluckily I made a mistake when exiting pits and got a Drive Through Penalty. That caused me to lose the lead to David and finish the race in second place, not bad at all anyway.

Race 2
--------
Made a lot of mistakes the first laps in the traffic. Track was on "file" rubber and that didn't help at all driving my racing line. To avoid any more mayhem I went for a very early pitstop and drive on clean air.
Some more laps later, after everyone already pitted, I found myself in 5th position. I was able to overtake Tim to get 4th place and 2 laps to the end, trying to catch Dan, Cristoph made a mistake and gained one more position. Final lap was a nice battle trying to find a way past Dan but rear tires were a little worn by then and Dan did a good job defending, finally ending in 3rd position which was very good according to my poor driving on the first stages of the race.

Q

Qualy
-------
Did my pb and was quite happy with my laptime. After watching the replay of my fastest lap during the Q it did probably cut the track so I tried to do a as fast lap in a clean way. Didn't succeed until the very last lap where I got within .06 of my fastest lap. Otherwise I would have asked Paul to put me back on the grid. So 3rd place it was.
DJC laptime was something else, awesome job! Would love to see an onboard replay Gorka was really fast too, no way I could have challenged these two in Q.

Race 1
--------
Lost a place at the start to Dan and then began to chase him. There was no real pressure from behind so could completly focus on putting in some good laps. After a few laps I started to get closer but after getting really close I put a tire on the gras coming out of Coppice and spun. Lost some ground on Dan but kept my place. Started to chase him again and got close at the very end of the race but was never really in the position to attack him so finished fourth, which was ok

Race 2
--------
Bit of a slow start gettting caught up behind other cars but settled nicely into the race. Gorgias spun in the Fogarty Esses right in front of me and I started then to move through traffic. Was very happy at how I handled this as it isn't one of my strong sides normally. Gave one other driver a little bump going into the hairpin which fortunately didn't make him spin. Did some good laps after that and found myself behind Tim at the time I went for my pitstop. After all pitstops where done I was in second place around 12 sec behind DJC and 8 sec in front of Dan so my race was settled and all I had to do was to finish without making a mistake. I even made some ground on DJC as he spun but he easily restored the gap
Well in lap 17 I made a stupid mistake going into Coppice (again : ) and went wide and through the gras. The gras is very slippery there so it took me quite some time to get back on track. I manged to get on track in front of Dan but as I wasn't up to speed he passed me on the straigth. So 3rd place it was with Gorka right behind me. Next lap going into the Old Hairpin Dan had a little moment and so did I which allowed Gorka to go by. Never found back into a nice rhythm after that and had to settle for 4th place, watching Dan and Gorka fighting for 2nd
Bit disappointed as it was really a stupid mistake which cost me 2nd place, other than that I was happy with my race! Its even more disappointing as I knew that Coppice is a dangerous corner and its easy to get wide which costs a lot of time ... really should have avoided that.

ive been so swamped at work this week, havent had time to post a report......hardly remember the race im so freakin busy

i do remember [dot]qualifying[/dot] 5th and finishing fifth twice i also remember some battles , mostly with andi . I got overtaken badly at the start of [dot]race 1[/dot] he got into the back of me by mistake going down the hill at the start of [dot]race 2 [/dot]which knocked me to the back of the field, last place but it was an exciting and fun run to get back to 5th , mostly accomplished by a lucky pit strategy that got me some clean air on both ends of it.
