ISI F2 2012 Race #2 at Portugal

We start from the back.

PaulS and Bryan were clearly unprepaired for my stellar lap times.
I was equally unprepaired for MarcelT and Jesus lap times

All went well except a nightmare situation at start grid, second race where something heavy hit me, I tried to pit to bandage my head, but couldnt complete lap, all shorts of warning lights lit up at steering wheel, much like a Christmass tree, must be a season thing.

Anyway, I really hate that chicane, I hope next time we do Portugal we do the GP track, I dont have a clue how someone can go easy at this blasted chicane.

(oh, did I tell you how much I hate chicane at Portugal?)

I'll make a quick report.

Race 1
Just survive

Race 2
Just survive

Race 3
Just survive

That was the most noticeable in this races



Now serious

Race1
Touching the view buttons at the grid I touched the limiter too. So I got stuck at 100km/h for a second and lost several position. The rest of the race was a lonely race against the car. Luckily some people in front did more mistakes than me so I managed to end third.

Race2
Started without getting into trouble, but lost it two curves before the chicane, went through the shortcut to avoid spinning in the middle of the chicane entry hoping to let Dean pass me (as he would have done after my mistake) but lost it again and was stuck in the gravel for a big bunch of seconds.
Ended up 5th.

Race 3
After the crazy start, and some battle for positions in the reverse grid, race was more or less comfortable alone until I did a mistake after mi pitstop and found Dean was closing in on me. We had some battle for a couple of laps until we both did a mistake at the chicane (he at the entry and me at the exit). I got better luck and went back to race alone again untill finishing third.

I want to say thanks to all the people who were very gentle were being lapped/overtaken. This is a very hard car to drive and it is really difficult to care for the people coming behind.

I really hate that chicane. Every time I got there I said to myself, very easy, very gently with the throttle, better lose a couple of tenths than 10 seconds.....
Anyway I spun twice I guess there. Luckily the driver behind was way back to catch me.

In fact, I really hate that chicane, turn 2 is "please don't go wide or don't oversteerm turn 2,3 and 4 are "easy...easy with the throttle...", and on it goes
