Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to Season 7 of our Historic's League.
This season we pick up the younger brother of the classic Lola, the T290. With 4 different engines available it will be up to you to decide which one will fit you best in every track.
This fifth event will take place in Mosport and will be splitted in two 30 min races. Having the second race reversed grid for the top ten finishers of the first race.
High wings or low wings? Ofensive or defensive? that's the question. Alike Zandvoort front tire caring will be very important in the long and fast curves we can find in this track.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

Nice!
I had a epic battle with DJ throughout race 2 with the Porches.. And I saw that you have a really good laptime Gorka, so I expect a good race. This track is so short and mostly just long sweeping corners, it invites to close laptimes. And I'm not sure if my Zandvoort set really works here, I have made only minor changes and it feels good except from that hairpin where I think it is possible to gain more time.

I also get that feeling at the hairpin, it seems you can go and exit faster through it, but it seems so hard to find.

Maybe the right front suspension settings can give a tenth or two through there. It suddenly feels understeery af in the exit.. I guess I have to talk to my team mate/engineer about it ;D

I'll have no more practice time till sunday so I'll leave things are they are. Hairpin will be a killer for many people, be it on the braking or on the exit.

I'm out at the moment. So may not make it back in time for the race.
I set the server for tonight's race.
Hopefully I will be back before race 2.

Really dissappointed right now.. Neither me or my brother were able to race today because we both have this problem when everyone dissappear. In quali session when only my brother had the issue, we did some testing where I parked my car in the pit exit and he was going to try to drive through me (he couldn't see me). So he tried, and he did not even notice me at all but he crashed into me and I flew over the pit wall and he continued like nothing happened. So we were going to be totally dangerous to everyone else if this happened during race.. So we tried to restart the router and after that we both had same problem. After another restart we gave up...
I had this problem earlier this week but I was sure something was wrong with the server, otherwise I had tried to solve this earlier. But after a couple of router restarts there seem to be no difference at all. Anyway, I don't think an internet problem should appear this way? The only thing I can think of is a rf2 bug. I don't think it's going to make any difference but I might try to reinstall rf2. If that doesn't work then there is nothing else I can do really... Strange that fun race last weekend worked flawless ???
Btw, I tried to join a couple of other servers instead to see if I had the same problem there but it was impossible because I was missing like 100 different content everywhere and auto download was not working (and I could not even find it on google)... soooo that made me just hate rf2 even more.

Found a server with 15 guys in it and it seem to work fine now. I can't think of anything that could have caused the problems earlier. We have 100 mbit fibre connection so there should be no problem. We recently changed to fibre tho, but it worked fine at Targa and last fun race with the Porsches.
Found only one guy on isiforums with similar issue: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/28...mittent%29
Tried google it but nothing..

Didn't we have the same thing at mid ohio? Only it affected more off us.
Iirc after Paul did a restart of the server all was fine again. But that's just what my memory tells me ???

Let's hope it was only something server related and won't happen again, you will have to test during the week.
BTW, I'm thinking on Howstons for the Fun event in Nordschleife VLN, what do you think?

Yes Ed, we had exactly same problem at Mid-Ohio. But difference was it affected us all and now it's only 2, so I don't know if it can be server related. But at the same time I find it unbelievable that something on the user's end could cause it either. It feels like if our connection was bad in some way we would loose connection or just have lag and high ping. Actually I don't know how my ping was yesterday, was it normal?
@Gorka
Howstons sounds fun. There is also an updated one available we could consider in that case http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/24...T70-Spyder
It uses same physics but comes with a lot of different upgrades and configurations. Some parts and new textures added to the default one which makis it look a lot better 8)

I have had some weird lag / disappearing cars too with this build, but I have no hard info it is the build. If your having probs like this at race start / lap 1 that is a good clue.
What I do at times like this Rikard, is set off a ping in the background before i start racing like this 'ping www.google.com -t' the -t means it will keep going forever until you ctrl-c out. Then next time you get rf2 prob look at them and see if you had ping problems at that time.
If you want to be really clever you can set off 2 or 3 pings, one to router, one to modem (if separate) and one to outside world (google) then that will tell you good info next time you get conn lost in rf2.
I got a feeling some funny business is happening with this build in this regard, but it's just a feeling. It can also be that race start moments are the problem, or perhaps if just one car near you on track temporarily has bad ping then crazy things happen, but I think that's always been the case. Also other people joining server at the time of problem is issue. It can be lots of things, first you need to rule out your side with some tests. If the pings stay good when rf2 messes up you then know for sure its not your side.
Err, and 'virtual rides' I do not know how them things are working these days but they caused this type of issue too.

Thanks. I'm gonna take a look at it when I have time.
