Welcome to Sim Racers 4 Life Fun Events.

Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to another of our tipycal Fun Events.
This time we race the Renault 3.5 in the Streets of Macau. The portuguese chinese Montecarlo, Macau is a contrast of a very long straight and very narrow and slow-demanding corners. Driving the Renault 3.5, a car with 3 aero packs and DRS, will make for a real challenge here.

SR4L wishes you good luck for this fun event.

With the F3.5 or the Spark?? Hope you don't mean the F3.5 because even though I was really concentrating and driving really really slow and had TrackIR to look into the corner it was impossible for me LOL :o

There must be something wrong about your car Rik. As Edwin says it's quite doable. In my practices last week I found it rather comfortable to do it. Brake early at the left and when close to the front wall apply full lock to the right, no throttle at all. I always found the room to do it, but always being very carefull there.

Could be something going on with the setup yes.. But at least I have maximum steering ratio/lock. I don't know if anything else in the setup could affect the turning in such slow speeds?

Damn now I have to try it again

Yes it's hard getting round that corner without hitting it. Just hope I don't end up sideways across the track blocking all cars behind me like practice race last night Big Grin

Hey, Last night I also had another freeze by the end of race 1. This time it was very short, just a second freeze. Also Steam has generated a dump file right at that time, just like last week.

Never happened this time in last race for me. But it did happen in a single player race few days ago not long after finishing the race. Just like last weeks race steam made a dmp file with the same date stamp.

Race was fun, I could hear Harri laughing the whole time in race 1, words like I've just done a barrel roll Big Grin.

I've noticed this track eats up FPS at the S/F line with full grid. Drops me to 35. Clears up after T1 but still not real high. I have my game synced to video and it dips below 60 in a few places when racing in a crowd. Even at Monaco I didn't drop below 60, but here...

Just beware you might want to dumb down your graphics a bit.

I was at the limit in fps in Monaco, but not in this track when we raced last sunday.

I wonder why in these cars was so difficult to do a 180 when standing still. I had to drive reverse for a while to be able to recover my car.

That is interesting. I experimented at both tracks with 19 AI and saw a huge difference. At start in Monaco I dipped to about 57-59 in the run to San Devote, then never went below 60. Macau, 35 just sitting waiting on the green flag.

Oh well, just saying folks might want to check their own system performance.
