Official 2017 Spring-Summer Season announcement

In Sim Racers 4 Life we are proud to present the 2017 Spring-Summer
"Racing in the USA" USF2000 + Classic F2 (Kristijan's Flex Chassis Mod) Season.

The Season will be divided in two leagues instead of doing our usual official league + Fun events on alternate weeks.

Rules:
Both leagues will race the same tracks on alternate weeks except for the final race where there'll be an special oval event at different tracks (trying to match the different characteristics of the cars).

Events will consist of:
-25 minutes Qualifying session. (starting aprox 18:25 GMT)
-7 minute warmup
-30 minutes Race 1. (starting aprox 19:00 GMT)
-7 minute warmup
-30 minutes Race 2. (Grid will be set according to race 1 results and then the top 10 places will be reversed before race start)
-One pitstop will be mandatory in both races having to change all 4 tires (Refueling will be optional though recommended)

The USF2000 will be considered as the "junior" league and the Classic F2 will be the "main" league.


The Classic F2 Main League will also bring the battle between two cars: The Eve and the Spark.
Drivers in a team will have to pick one of the 2 (Eve-Matra or Spark-Tecno) and drive that very car for the whole season. This cars have the posibility of using front and rear wings, their use will be optional depending on personal liking.

(**) I've added no weight handicaps as leagues have already enough rules. We will leave it for a latter season having the propper preseason tests.

I don't know if you people preffer to consider the 16th of April as a not racing day due to Eastern Holidays. Depend on what is usually done in your countries.
In my case I may be out and miss that race.

My vote would be for Easter Sunday to be an off week...
also, as an idea - Paul - could you please take mid-ohio off of server and put Road America up with the USF2000 as that will be our first race...
As weather gets better here I don't know how many events I will be attended - lot of "Family Stuff." Just putting that out there in case Tim wants to get a more committed Team Mate........

I prefer we didnt make date exceptions, there always be dates some people can and some cant, no way to please all.

On the eve v spark battle , how about each team run one of each make and nominate driver who stays with that car all season , it gives each team the same chance where tracks favour one make over the other

Scoring software schould be able to handle "strike results". Its implemented and worked the last time used, if I remember correctly 8)

I think it's easier for everybody to keep the same car for both drivers of the team.
Like Alonso and Vandoorme (or me in the Spark), you take the wrong car, you are screwed the whole season.

if we do the strike one race we have to agree that we only base the end championship on 7 races not 8 and then someone who made all 8 races gets penalized points but I will do it anyway you all want

I PM'd Paul yesterday - asking that Road America be put on our servers - both USF2000 and the F2's..
