Sunday night was a big success in my eyes. Dave Coyne the class of the field. I tried my best and could keep up but didn't manage a single overtake whilst suffering several. Those Datsuns are huge fun and we did some decent fast clean racing. Most fun I've had racing in ages.

And now I discover there's a SR4L Twitch channel with an archive of the whole evening. Marvellous!

Sorry I missed this one but hope it all went well. I'll aim for the next one.

Feedback is really important, let us know how it all went.

It was great fun! Never pushed so hard in qualifying. Only did the first race sadly. Any ideas on the next race? Can I suggest the F1 1998 Mod (not the 1988). Those cars around 1988 Monza is incredible Smile

That was great fun , some very intense and mega close racing , thank God i dont have a pacemaker fitted or i would have overcharged the batteries .
Qually was a good battle with the top six covered by a second and with ED and myself continually swopping places .
Race 1 I fluffed the start as i couldnt see the lights and had to watch and wait for the guy behind to move , covered the inside which allowed me to drop in behind ED , stayed this way for a few laps then ED made a mistake at Druids which allowed me to get a run on him and outbrake him into Lodge , to snatch the lead , by lap 15 my tyres were realy suffering the car was sliding alot , it didnt help that i had mistakenly overfueled by 10litres , so i tried to drive and cool them off but EDs pressure was relentless , the slower laps i was putting in allowed JP to close on ED and take some pressure off me , they eventually swopped places and game me a little breathing space , i then started to do a fast lap and then a slow lap sequence to try and eke out my tyres , phew was i glad to see the flag .
Race 2 the random grid put me on pole again , this time i had assigned a button to look up so i could see the lights and managed to nail the start , but again my mirrors were full of ED , we again stayed this way for a few laps until ED got inside me at Lodge , i gave space but he spun out , i didnt actually notice this and thought he was alongside me in a blind spot , so i went wide into Old Hall and on the grass fully expecting him to get me but i was was surprised to be in the clear , i then went into the slow lap / fast lap routine to manage the tyres this allowed DJ to close up but i had the grip when i needed it and held position .
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

DC, I lost the rear and spun while trying to make that move and decided to call it a day after that. Don't know why I don't seem to be able to overtake in these cars.

Stu this is a 3 round championship all based at Oulton , next round is the Island circuit , final round is the old international circuit very fast

ED i think it was all about traction , i seemed to exit corners just fast enough so you rarely got a chance to outbrake me into the next corner , hopefully DJ will do one of his great Vids to see if this is correct

It was really fun.

I was late at the start and so I ran Dave and Ed most of the race. I'm glad I was able to get closer to the end to play for the win but Dave was very fast and did not make a mistake. Very solid.

Well done and Nice race, guys!

This B110 Coupe is one of my favourite mods now, in terms of how it was to race. I'd love to have more fun races in this car.
