Thanks for the great fun! These cars are just amazing to drive. I hope I have time to do some other races in this series as well!
BTW is the Nordschleife you are going to use to official content one, AC laserscan rip or that one old, quite inaccurate version that has been going around ages in various rF2 leagues? Spa seems to be that 1988 version according to the server info. Might make it there but not sure yet

Really enjoyed this race even though I made no earned passes. For me and the group around me it was fairly processional but very close with the challenge being to not screw up. Got lucky in qualy race to get ahead of Tobias who was definitely faster then me. Took a lot of concentration to hold him off for 12 laps. Great driving Tobias! (thumbs-up) You showed great patience in not diving in where it could have been costly to us both. While fending off Tobias I stayed close to Fergy which was surprising to me because he is usually a lot faster than me. All in all great fun. And I percieved no connection or FPS issues so that is always nice.
And oh yeah, congrats to Antti for the win and to the rest of the podium. You fast guys always amaze me.

In the first race I caused an accident when returning to the track in the area of the Pit exit with a white car and I thought that was you but I was not sure. When I then ended up behind you in the second race I decided to play it safe as I might have used up all goodwill in the first race. So you might had a slight benefit from another event. I really did want to overtake you but not at the expense of both of us loosing the race. However my gentlemen pressure was not sufficient to impress you enough to make a mistake. Following a game theory approach I will have to do a stupid move every now and then going forward to make you less sure about what to expect from me as you have the skills to drive 12 clean laps in a row At least our close relation got us quite a bit of coverage in the twitch stream together with Dimitrios who somehow was able to sneak past in the last lap. I had my older son watching therace on the M onitor with me and he asked whether I would now do everything to regain the position. I said nope, it has been a great race so far and I will not ruin our experience in the last lap for having made a small mistake.I am still feeling good about the close racing we had without loosing control. The VR setup really helps in close proximit driving situations.
Do you even lift?

LOL ! Now that you mention it, it did seem a bit out of character for you!
I'll for sure not expect the same in the future. And just to keep YOU guessing, I may... or may not... defend aggressively against any late overtake dives! Will depend on my mood at that moment! ![]() Studying the replay, I think if you had geared 5th to be a little longer you could have easily gotten by on the straight. That's all that saved me.

Hi for me a difficult race, it was going well on the lower part of the circuit but in the mountains it was a real hell. By the time I learned the track well I ran out of time to try to improve the setup, so the car slipped a lot as soon as I pushed a bit and I was really slow in that particular section. I was really not confident so I made sure not to break anything.
I managed to get the podium because the driver in front was really too close to the limit and hit the wall, i was lucky but I'm still happy with the result and I'll take it. Well done to the guy in front, you really impressed me just like the rest of the grid. To see so little DNF is really proof of the quality and professionalism of the guys. |
