One pitstop is mandatory. All 4 tyres to be changed.

*Note, speed limit at the pit lane will be 100km/h (~60mph)

Notes: We now operate a STATIC track state for consistency and fairness. If you want to practice offline, don't forget to download the RealRoad from an online session. Note that the track state may be updated during the first week of practice to make sure enough rubber is laid down.

Note also - use of CrewChief (or another spotter app of your choice) is recommended even if you have VR, TrackIR or Triples.

I really have a big problem with this track, sometimes I drop really low in FPS especially when I'm going through the hairpin, it's almost impossible to drive in this state.

Anyone else in VR having this issue? A solution to propose?

A simil historic simple version of Mosport without paddock and buildings could be very useful and fps friendly

P. S. And I think it could be very easy to obtain permission from the modder for a public release
Unfortunately i have very few time and i need a new pc too

JP - we’ve used this version of Mosport several times on Wednesday nights since I took them over from Jonathan. I’ve been running VR throughout the past year after a lengthy break back to triples.

What are you running? I’m on a 2080Ti with a CV1 Rift - but an 8 year old i7 that holds it back.

I haven’t tried these cars at Mosport - but I don’t believe I’ve had any issues - unlike Imola where there are serious problems at the chicane in the version with the cranes.

I can dig out my settings if it will help.

I have a Quest2 and my computer is a Ryzen7 with a 1660 super for GPU.

Yes I know it's not a big setup but I haven't had any problems so far this season. I ride 85fps stable normally but on this track I can go down to 35 fps in the hairpin and the vision becomes blurry.

I have already lowered the graphs, I will try again this evening by lowering the graphs to a minimum and will give you updates.

JP, man I feel your pain! I didn't race last week because Adelaide dropped my 8kx to 40fps around half the track with everything on low. But this week at Mosport with 10 AI visible (which is usually a pretty good test) I'm getting excellent fps with Track Detail and Shadows (usually a killer) on high and most other stuff on medium.

Sorry I don't have any magic suggestions but just marvel at the different odd performance behaviors that pop up. I was amazed last week that no one else had a problem. I hope you can find a solution.

One thing I didnt try last week that I wish I had was lowering anti-aliasing. That usually makes a significant difference.

I don’t know my settings off the top of my head but I definitely don’t run shadows and have post-processing off or on Low at the most. I also always run track detail on Low - and get a bit annoyed by tracks that insist race-day should be run without COVID restrictions and with full grandstands!

Track rubber upped from Heavy to Saturated after Admin assessment. Track state remains static - for now.

Usually for me shadows are low or med and track detail is med. I just tried Road America with the higher settings and as expected I see 40fps in a crowd at some spots on the track. So for me Mosport is just a welcomed relief. Very strange that for some it is a problem.

I managed to solve my problems by removing the anti-aliasing and lowering the graphics. It's not very pretty, but at least I can drive.

It is high time that I change GPU and I also think to switch to HP Reverb.

Pimax wide FOV is really nice for racing. They have improved their build quality with their latest models. A bit pricey but the FOV is so much more immersive and beneficial in close racing. I used the 8kx with a 1080ti for about a year before upgrading to a 3080ti. ( I camped out at a Best Buy for 14 hours to snag the 3080! o_O ) But the 8kx was very usable with the 1080 if I held the FPS to 60, which the Pimax drivers allow.
