Have you nailed down any tracks? Would like to practice with these Trans Am beasts. Be nice to do it on tracks were going to run.

Yes, nice question Rick!
One track that I reaaly hope to be in the league is Virginia International Raceway, I had a run on it and I can say that it is a great combo!

Briefly, the league is 8 weeks long. Weeks 4 and 8 are ‘mystery’ tracks that don’t fit in with the ‘theme’ of the rest and will be the same for both leagues in the same weeks. The other six tracks are best thought of as two groups of three - Group A and Group B. The Wednesday sprint league will race ‘group a’ first and the Sunday league will race group B first - both leagues switching for the second half.

Proposed Schedule
Round 1: Portland - Wed 19th Oct & Sun 23rd Round 2: Willow Springs - Wed 26th Oct & Sun 30th Round 3: CTMP - Wed 2nd Nov & Sun 6th Round 4: Mystery Track #1 - Wed 9th Nov & Sun 13th Round 5: Bridgehampton - Wed 16tn Nov & Sun 20th Round 6: Laguna Seca (laser scanned) - Wed 23rd Nov & Sun 27th Round 7: Riverside - Wed 30th Nov & Sun 4th Dec Round 8: Mystery Track #2 (final round) - Wed 7th Dec & Sun 11th Dec I can’t remember if the above schedule is the Sprint or Sunday one. I suspect that it will work best as the Sunday schedule as 45 minutes of Bridgehampton would be quite an opener for the longer races!

The Mustang (sadly just the V6) has a factory line-lock feature for burn-outs and fast launches (allows you to engage only the front brakes while you torture the torque-converter and rear tyres…) I have half-heartedly tried it once (had to catch the sat nav as it shot off the dash towards us) but plan to give it another go if I can find somewhere secluded… :p It’s a rental! |
