Each EVENT will consist of two sprint Races.

Gather on Wednesdays (from October 19th) 7PM-ish UK time

Qualify: 7:30PM UK time - 15 minutes, unlimited laps
Warmup: #1: 7:45PM UK time - 5 minutes (warmup will not be skipped)
Race #1: 7:50PM UK time - '15 minute' race (race length defined by laps based on practice times)
Server reset @ 8:05PM UK time for Race #2

Practice and Qualify skipped (Grid for Race #2 is reverse of Race 1 finish)
Warmup #2: c. 8:05PM - 5 minutes
Race #2: 8:10PM - '30 minute race' (race length defined by laps - twice number of Race #1)

Server Password: Will be announced on Race Day only (see relevant Round Announcement thread).

Notes:
  • Race #2 timings are approximate and may vary due to server reset delays.
  • Starting Grid for Race 2 is reverse of finishing positions for Race 1. Anyone not completing/joining Race 1 will be added to the back of the Race 2 grid
  • For the Sprint League, both Races in each Event score equal points
  • No mandatory pitstop
  • 150kph pit lane speed limit (higher than for Feature league as no pitting anticipated). DO NOT ABUSE PIT DURING RACES!
  • Cut-Track threshold set to 2.0pts before automatic penalties (Stop-Go or Drive Through) are applied.
  • Six Vehicles are available in the Trans Am Golden Era League Edition pack:-
    - AMC Javelin
    - Plymouth Cuda
    - Chevrolet Camaro
    - Dodge Challenger
    - Ford Mustang Boss
    - Pontiac Firebird
  • Vehicle choice is FREE but for each two-race EVENT, you must race the car you qualify that EVENT with (e.g. you cannot race the Dodge in Race 1 and the Ford in Race 2 otherwise penalties will be applied)
  • For the Sprint League (advanced warning!) you must race AT LEAST THREE different Vehicles during the season (e.g. AMC, Dodge and Ford) - your choice of Vehicle/Event is up to you. Penalties will be applied if fewer than three vehicles are used.
  • Note - Livery/Skin choice is free at all times - changing the skin/livery/car-number/etc. does not in itself constitute a change of Vehicle.
  • A minimum finishing position criteria will apply to all points scored: 10% of full race distance ROUNDED UP. See individual event postings for details.
  • Drivers may enter the League at any point in the season

Update: Pitlane limit imposed at 150kph (previously unrestricted) so that drive-through penalties are meaningful but qualy is not overly impacted by long pit complexes.

Note that the Feature (Sunday) pit lane limit remains at 100kph as per usual as qualy is longer and pitting is a requirement.

I’m not going to lock this thread but can can League members please try to keep any posts focussed on any queries etc. relating specifically to rules, procedures and other league technicalities.

I will start a ‘race reports’ general league chat thread for the usual social chatter.

ETIQUETTE REMINDER
Can all drivers please refresh your understanding of the SR4L Etiquette and Expectations (links right at the top of the first post).

In particular:
  • Nerfing rules (these should be self-policing)
  • Pit entry/exit safety
  • Text chat during Qualy
Also consider (if you don’t already) using a spotter such as CrewChief to help avoid preventable collisions (this includes pit exit - but don’t forget the blue lights!)

If you are involved in an incident and feel either hard done by (or embarrassingly guilty) - please try not to disrupt everyone else’s race by complaint via chat etc. - make a mental note of where (in lap terms) the incident happened and PM an admin after the event for an independent review. POSSIBLE EXCEPTION - if anyone is observed to be endangering the event (‘wreckers’) please try to make this known immediately.

Please also be aware of the recent RF2 implementation of cut-track and illegal overtake monitoring. This is automated within the server and you need to understand what it is looking for to avoid penalties.

Noted in 1131 build notes:

”There are some issues around track limits violations being converted into time penalties if you finish the race before the violation is evaluated.”

I guess this is why Cruicky was demoted at the last race after cutting the penultimate corner…. Still active in 1131 so take care!

Seb-Zito needs a third vehicle for the final race if he is to score points.
