Wednesday Fun Race Resumes!

With TAGELE Sprint league over, time to dust off the informal Fun races…

We’ll kick off with the familiar (partly as organising is quite hard work and I‘d like to rest the brain for at least a week! ) - the updated Caterham 7s at New Jersey. We loved’em last time around - great combo.

Only question to answer - classic 10 min quick fire races - or TAGELE 15/30 min races (or 10 min Qualy, 10 min r1, 15 min r2, 25 min r3)?

Last night was rubbish for me. Wasn’t feeling great anyway and something wasn’t right with the VR.

I was getting a steady 90fps (the default for my HP Reverb) but bizarrely the motion wasn’t smooth!?!? Really off putting. I then had a complete vr drop out and on rebooting the machine, there was a VR cable connection error reported - so I tried again (no fix to the smoothness issue though). Couldn’t get close to my practice times.

On top of that, suffered several unfortunate incidents (mix of my own fault and collisions) and DNF’d several races.

Fun while it lasted.

I’ll have a think about next week - get something up tomorrow (Friday).

(Not so much Santa - Don’t feel bad but this PC build is only possible due to the death of my mother earlier this year - a http://salutary (and celebratory) reaction to my late parents frittering away time while sitting on an unused pot of cash that could’ve and should’ve made their latter lives more comfortable).
