Hello all,
First of all, I want to apologize everyone on the server tonight and Mel Fisk in particular. I think he did a mistake, I got very angry and I was a bit rude to him. These racing evenings are for having fun and not to get angry with anyone and, besides that, I make myself a lot of mistakes and hit others during the races too.
However I try to be careful when joining the track again after going out and that's what I think is the right thing to do even If I loose lot of positions doing so.
My report
Qualy: I was struggling all week to get something below 1:29 and I did in qualy, it was not my PB but it put me 11th on the grid.
First race: good start I think, avoided any problem in the first turn but I saw Mel going out between first and second corner. I saw him trying to get into the track too but there were room enough for me to get to the apex of second corner, he went for it too and took me out. I got trapped in the gravel and took me several seconds to get out. I was last and far behind so I did my best to recover some positions, I reached Paul Swire and we fought for a couple of laps, at the end I got impatient. First I did a mistake trying to overtake before last corner and, after quick recovering, I tried again taking the inside in the last corner, we touched and I was sent to the air and to the pit directly.
Second race: I was in front of the grid, almost first line, did a bad start and a couple of additional mistakes, went out of the track and loose some positions (from third to ninth I think).
I was behind Giorgio, he was a bit faster but I overtook him in the pit stop. My pit stop was just 8 seconds. After that, he was close behind and put a lot of pressure on me. My braking became even worse than usual but the better traction of my F2 on the exit of the last corner saved me several times
Then I saw in the mirrors that he had an accident in the first corner, probably trying not to hit me and I was able to finish 7th.
As Everon would say:
A hug for everyone.

Unfortunately in the first race I was not able to drive the same lap times as in the practice sessions before.
I really thought this race will be the first where I can finish arround 6th place.
But in qualifying my best lap was arround 1.29 (in the practice sessions before I drove laps arround low 1.28 ).
First race I start from 11 place and surprise in the first corner I was involved in a collision and after finding back to track I was on the last place :-(
The car was only a little bit damaged so I drove 11 good laps before i made my pit stop but I forget to tell the pit crew "do not repair my car" so I had to wait 9 additional seconds for repairing . Finished in 9th place.
Not the possible maximum but ok.
In the second race my start was much better but during the race specialy after my pit stop in lap 11 I made a couple of mistakes and bad decisions.
In front of me was a fight between Minga and I don't know jesus?
As in real the fight between the both slowed their lap times and after one full lap watching the fight from behind I decide to pass in turn 1.
To do the pass I had to leave the line away from rubber and as a result I missed the brake point and the turn. Sorry to the car in front of me I think it was Minga?!
What I've seen there was no damage on your car and you was able to get very quick back on the track.
From this point my flow and the concentration was gone and it was a fight against my brain.
But I've learned that is not good to drive the whole afternoon before the race.
The fuel for my brain is limited
Last but not least! Big thx to paul swire for let me pass during my comeback !
In both races I had lap times between 1.27 and 1.30 that would have been enough for a better position but I drove this times not stable enough. The goal for the future must be improve my constancy without loosing the speed.
THX for racing !
regards
Alex
PS: When you look in the ISI forum we can be very happy and proud to our leage because yesterday was a endurance race and after finishing their starts a big discussion in the ISI forum. I'm happy with the SR4L leage because all drivers are smooth and big sportsman !

Yes Alpha, I confirm that it was me!
A classic mistake it was, no problems, just a bit disapointed for the nice battle I was having with Jesus.

As I said a big apologize for that and thanks for your apprication :-)

I managed to have a good race #1.(for me) Turn #1 was interesting to say the least. :-) I Actually got a little racy at times. Felt good. The 3.5 is a fun car to drive. On second race I was behind Paul on grid and missed shifted on start. Was hit and decided to park it. Sorry to those I was in front of. I was able to get some practice in this week and work on my cockpit so I'm more comfortable. I'm not one to remember the race very well. I do now Tom Cook, Yerkee and I had some good moments. Great racing and lot's of fun. Learned some things and felt more relaxed for a change.
Thanks to all

Before the event I choose the F2 because I love this car, I got a special feeling with it.
Giorgio was very kind to make a special skin for me, thanks you again mate.
But that was a choice that forced me to set the car in a way to optimize the speed and the pace after the point where the car is confortable to drive.
I had a lot of scary moments during the event and before the race, I spun in every single stint I started.
I gained some confidence when we tried pitstop and found that the F2 guys will gain almost 10 sec on the F3.5 guys in the pits.
Qual: I pushed really hard for this one. I knew I had to take pole or to be in top 3 on the grid to have a chance because of the difference between F2 and 3.5 I'll have zero chance to make a move on Marcel or Speedster, even if I was a little faster.
I did 1 25 305 on my first run, could have done maybe 2 tenths better but not much.
Really happy with the pole.
First race: Good start, I tried to put a gap big enough to be sure the guys behind with 3.5 can't overtake me before T1. But in lap 2 I did some mistake that cost me time and guys were closing on me, in the last sector something happened behind me and gave me a lot of space.
I tried to do good laps, some were very close to the crash.
I pited late and was 2nd behind Marcel, I was closing the gap on him and he didn't made his pitstop at this point so I was okay, clocking 1 25 3 again, but we entered the last lap and Marcel was still in front, that was disturbing and I had too much thinking about all that, I did a mistake that cost me 4/5 seconds and I cruise the finish line 10 sec behind Marcel, with a pit in more.
Second race was going to be terrible to me because the F2 have a lack of vmax and I prepared myself to be stuck in the trafic.
The start was difficult, some guys try to brake like they're alone, that's not racing skills...
I had damage before T1 (in straight line...) but I gained positions because some guys were already out and others in gravel.
Was pushing a lot with a fast guy just behind me and I managed to close on the leader, mister Everon with who I went into a rude fight for the lead.
We had different car and different pace, and more different braking points, that was very difficult.
I tried several time at the chicane but I didn't understood his moves, that wasn't closing the door before mid corner, that wasn't okay I give you space after mid corner.
There were some contacts and I finally passed him.
After that, I did some laps to give me space and I did my pitstop, with fresh tires I did 1 25 4xx and cruise to the finish line.
And once again, a big thanks you guys from this community for sharing passion with people.

Well done Mickael, both great wins. Sorry Marcel Gerber, one pitstop is mandatory, as you can read in the announcement for this event. I hope this will get fixed in the results..
I managed to put my F3.5 in second place at qualify but at the start of race 1, I lost that spot to Speedster. After a couple of laps, Mickael made a little error, Speedster anticipated but I was too late. I was committed to go through there at normal speed and bumped Speedster. Very sorry about that, I should have been more aware. No damage for me and we both went on our way in same order but we lost positions to Everon and Marcel Gerber.
So I was chasing Speedster again and at one point, Everon drove into a tire stack entering the last turn, it got up in the air, Speedster avoided it but while it came down I had nowhere to go and it hit me full on the head. No damage but I had to run through the gravel a bit because my car was still bouncing after the impact and my head hurt ... Then came some traffic, I pitted, Speedster pitted too and at about the 12th or 13th lap I was 5 secs behind Speedster. I slowly reeled him in and at the last lap the gap was reduced to less than a second, also because of backmarkers. I overcooked it though, entering T2 of the last lap way too fast and understeered off track. Didn't lose a spot there but the fight with Speedster was lost.
Second race I had a good start, overtook some and went alongside Thomas P on his left. TP got then bumped by John Cook, Thomas veered to the left, nothing he could do about that and he hit me, sending me up in the air, flying over the bridge, think I had P1 at that moment ;D and at touchdown, I immediately sat in pits, race over.
Fun event, great competition! Thanks

Great screenshots JP!
I'd love to take some pictures of our races but unfortunately rF2 have problems to show custom skins on replay.
I hope next build will fix this issue.

I know, it's a bummer. Hope they fix it too. It was working at one point, at least on the clio replay from couple weeks ago.

Hi all,
I apologize if I blocked someone in the course of the race, but also have to say that does not seem right that someone would have to get out on track or making strange maneuvers impact not only on me.
If the line is not running I do is correct or not, if I drive better or worse, but if you always follow the same line and brake on the same site.
First race: On lap three, coming 5th in the classification, impact against a stack of tires trying to chase that went before me (I ask again apologize if my accident have injured someone).
Second Career: I think he was second on the starting line, great start and in a few seconds and went first. I was a few laps in first position, taking advantage of fast riders came out more earn back enough period of time so that no one bothered me.
Someone trying to get ahead in the chicane impact on me from behind (one F2 I think) and I lose the first position. 2 turns later came into the pits.
During the 3 or 4 laps had someone behind me trying to pass me (another F2) and take that top speed had enough to keep me pass.
I finished 2nd.
Great race for everyone, it was fun.
As I myself would say: A hug for everyone.

About the contact for P1, two times that was close and I almost spun to avoid you turning like there were nobody.
One time there were contact and we lost time but no position.
And the last time I was in front, big difference of speed and you turned into me but as I was in front that did nothing to me.
The lap after you were +4 sec to me.
That's not fair racing from my point of view, but as I race from cockpit only, maybe I don't have the better view of all that.
That's important to discuss that kind of things after the race, as everyone, including me, can learn from precedent mistakes and progress the next event.

You're right capeta, does not look the same from inside the cabin than a repetition.
We all make mistakes (and me first) and it is best to discuss solutions.
