Race 1:
Started from 10th and had a bad start as usual. Race ended quickly though after losing control in Parabolica and being in first gear while trying to reverse... Sorry to whoever I hit by that :/ Race 2: Bad start again but this time I survived the first lap. I chased down the pack in front of me and watch their duels from a safe distance until I saw Yerke Vuurbol flying around in Lap 3 which was kinda scary to be honest and ended the nice duels in front of me. Immediately went to the pit after this without requesting pit stop which has cost me some time. After that it was a lonely drive home and I somehow finished 5th. Race 3: <-- coming tomorrow This time I didn't do a bad start but a false one instead which led to a drive-through of course.... I tried to avoid the usual accidents of the reverse grid race in order to serve my penalty as fast as possible. I came into the pits without any accidents but a really close escape after lesmos. When I came back out of the pits I was around the 10th place which I then protected until the last lap. In the last lap two unlucky souls in front of me must have crashed into each other because I've gained two positions without seeing anyone so I finished on 8th.

Finally an oasis in the desert.
Eves had the top speed advantage here and I had to take advantage of it. Qualy ------ Did a 2:33.4 in the first part of the session wich already brought me to first position so I had the chance to take more risks at Lesmo1 and Lesmo2 where I was feeling really comfortable. Close to the end I did a very good first sector, seing a -0.66x and finally ending the lap at a personal best 2:32.9 Race 1 ------ I was fearing Rikard (who was in second place) could make a good start (second place is where rubber is and has really good grip), but suddenly I saw him dissapear in my mirrors (don't know what actually happened to him), so we came to the classic threesome alongside Marcel and David. At this point I decided to quick plan my strategy. I was carrying fuel for 4 laps (the fastest strategy was a 4-4 as it carried less fuel weight) but I had to look for something different if I wanted not to have Marcel and David on my slipstream till the end of the race. So I thought that If I did an early pitstop and be able to run my pace with no traffic, and hoping they didn't synchronise in their slipstreams and go faster than me, I could make it to the end with no battles. So I decided it was time for pitting in this very second lap we were. But after that many thinking, right after pressing the space key to request my pitstop I suddenly realised I was already at the braking spot for Lesmo1 and I already was full throttle. I then broke really late, going really wide and fearing I could touch the wall and damage the car. I whent through the little grass path and did a 360ยบ spin recovering fast, losing just around 4-5 seconds and getting a feeling of embarrasment and self-dissapointment. I went for my early pitstop which took 47 seconds, good. That cheered me back again and thought I had to push the maximun. Coming out of the pits I saw the head of the race going through the parallel lane. This helped me to have them as a reference of my pace and seing lap by lap I was going a bit faster than them. A few laps later I was glad to see that Marcel was coming out of pits in front of me but still acelerating and slow enough for me to overtake him and keep him out of my slipstream. The following lap the same happened with David and so I had to keep that gap till the end. Sometimes I saw how the time differences reduced as they used their slipstreamsr but finally the gap remained to 3.x secons and I took a victory that had a bit of a sour flavour after my previous mistake. Race 2 ------ Marcel did a good start from his second place while David lost a bit at the start, so Marcel and I quickly pulled a little gap. As in race1 I decided that if I pitted early I could avoid Marcel beeing at my slipstream and as David was far enough to catch Marcel it was the best strategy to take the most of the Eve's advantage here. Se there I pitted at lap 2, having again a 47 sec pitstop and then racing at my own pace having a lonely race till the end, and taking the second win of the night. Race 3 ------ Starting from behind I filled my car with fuel for 6 laps. In case I got away from posible accidents in the midfield I could do a long first stint looking for other's slipstreams and taking advantage of that. So the start was quite good getting away of trouble and soon getting things in the way. But what I hadn't predicted is that I had added quite a big fuel amount and that I was going to block my rear tires at the braking of Parabolica. That meant for a walk on the grass and deciding to pit early again as things went wrong. Pitstop took 53 sec, quite slow. I rejoined way behind only starting to pick up places as people started doing ther pitstops. Had some battles on the way and two laps to go a little intense one with Yerke who I was able to overtake at the main straight beginning the final lap and pick up enough advantage at the first sector to be able to run without pressure at the bankings and making it to fourth place. Good night yesterday, time to rejoice until Putnam Park.

Qualify: Happy with front row. I was easily able to match and/or beat Gorka's first sector of his 33.4 but after he set the 32.9 lap (very quick btw), I knew 'battle' for pole was over. Hedlund did a good job too so 3rd spot it was. Hiss boo to the Eves ;D
Race one I had a nice fight with the pack after Gorka did his 360. I had a hard time getting to my pit spot because an accident had happened at pit entry and I had to wait some time for Everon to pull up to his spot, clearing the way to mine. Gorka flew by when I came out of the pit, next lap DjC came out and blocked me a little before entering the first banking so we had a very nice scrap for second place. I was hoping our draft could get us closer to Gorka but it didn't work out. At least I won the battle for second ![]() Race 2, again a good start, took p1 entering curva grande and Gorka and I drove away but the next lap he already pitted. I was thinking about doing the same next time by and I should have in hindsight but instead I drove on, keeping the lead at about 3 secs with DjC and Hedlund battling behind me. Then came my stop, I overshot a little, had to reverse a bit so pit crew started working but I still wasn't exactly lined up right. DjC pitted too while laying down a smokebomb for Hedlund who decided to keep his car in the middle of the pitlane while entering and so Hedlund hit me. Bad rear damage when I drove away, pitcrew didn't feel like fixing it at that point (some were still flying through the air, I was told later) so either a whole lap with bad damage or retirement, I chose the latter. Maybe I could have continued but I didn't wanna risk other peoples race.So I was happy to start at second row for race 3, normally I get put at the back end of the grid for race 3, no matter how my second race finished (which is fine with me btw.) but this time around it was a welcome surprise. I pitted early to avoid pit mess but this time my stop was real slow, 50 seconds. The rest of the race was quite boring tbh, Hedlund at one point came out in front of me, him leading the race with 2 secs and I tried to close the gap using first sector and it worked each lap but his Eve drove away at the straights, quicker than what I could gain in corners so no chance to catch up. With DjC 2 secs behind it was a case of finishing in second place again. So Gorka ate about 35 points of my championship lead, Spa up ahead could mean another 35 points or more so I hope to be back on top at Putnam ;DCheers,

It was a good night for me.
Quallied 4th. Was looking for lucky tow from someone, but non came. Spent the last half of qually practicing pit stops as I knew 2nd row was safe. 1st half of Race1 was insane; driving in a large pack of cars, only feet from each other, bumper to bumper, side by side. Heart racing, boom boom boom. Finished 3rd only 7 thousands of a second after battling with MarcelW. I was well confused with what happened in pits in race 2, as Marcel explained in his report. I watching replay after cleared things up. Sorry for smoke bomb from locking up my tyrers. @Marcel did you think it was me that crashed into you in pits?, as after your stop you drove up the pitlane honking your horn then dive bombed in front of me. One of them huh moments :o .Thanks to the hosts again. Nice vids Kalanur. DJC

How do you guys get 47sec pit stops? I had 49 in each race. Is there a sweet spot of when to press the pit request button?

One of them huh moments :o No, I saw you pass, Hedlund passed after hit so I knew it was him. I drove up, car felt very badly damaged, I just immediately parked it at the right. I wasn't even sure if I could exit pit safely. I did escape in time not to get in your way didn't I?? The honking was out of despair and aimed at Rikard of course. And for boobies, obviously. ![]() Nice racin'

Maybe if you enter too fast with squeeking tires the pitcrew get scared? Or maybe you drive over their invisible little toes..? ;D

I think it's just plain random, 46 to 52 seconds if pitstop was requested, nevermind you approach slowly, you miss half pitbox,..... Before the latest 60's version it was easier to do 46s, now it seems there's same probability for all times. I've recorded the battle with Yerke two laps to the end of race3 seen from Vittorio's onboard cam who was there ready to bite when needed
