Lots of fun again.
Race 1 and 2, nice battles with Jonathan.   We both very kind to each other swoping places without any contact.   I\'m having problems with my g27 gas peddle, sometimes get only 80% was painful loosing places because of that.   I set a dead zone before the race, but still was not enough.  Hope they easy to fix.
Race 3, At start grid, saw the big crash going on in front of me, lucky to get round that (only just), but was unlucky to find Nikos spinning just before the bridge half lap later.  I clipped his wheel and spun to a stop.   Nikos luck did not end there, Fergy rounded the corner, Boom! plowed right into him sending him flying.   No picture this time Nikos, I promise .
I got disconnected from the server for some reason, 3rd race.   That may have been an act of god, as it happened just after I found myself in the wall for the 2nd time with big damage, alwell.

I think the reverse grid is a good learning opportunity for everyone ... as long as we all remember to take it as such. If points are too important for some people, then it\'s not such a good idea. <<2cents>> I enjoyed the racing. These cars are a hoot. Not sure where others are finding all their speed tho. 8O Great driving. Sorry to have moved over on someone at the start of Heat 1. :oops: A brainless move at best.

Qualify:  I had set my fastest lap pretty early in the session so I spend the rest of the time cruising around with the hud displaying the laptimes of the competition. I got a little nervous when I saw they were also able to get into 12\'s but my lap was fast enough for pole.

Race 1 went pretty straight-forward.  I knew if I had a good start I could hold off anyone trying to sneak past me at the right and that worked out.

Race 2 was pretty much the same, although my start was a little worse than the first race, David overtook me at turn 1 but I was able to retake the position a lap later.

Race 3 was a little different, starting from the back and avoiding all crashes that took place. Chasing Jonathan was a lot of fun and I was hoping for a little mistake from him but he managed well and I had to settle for second.

Although Nikos was parked in the middle of the track sipping on a Martini :lol:  I should have been able to avoid him.

It\'s better to keep in track and suffer losing 2-3 seconds per lap than pitting in and lose more than a minute in a repair.

I had the same problem mate...but then I opened the pedals and cleaned them from the dust etc, sprayed some lubricant and they are as new now

PS: Just for the records, the havoc at start of race 3 was created by me....I felt quite ashamed to be honest as it was a stupid mistake.

But watching Romain Grosjean create a havoc at spa and Schumi braking late made me feel better _

It was fun as always. Thanks ARI!

I was very happy with my car setup, the nicer to drive I did so far and also the slowest to be honest.

It is true (as Niko said) that I was not very happy after the first lap of the first race but I was very lucky on the reverse grid race.
Thanks to my very, very bad start I was able to skip the big accident on the first lap and be on third position for a while.
Of course the survivors of the accident overtook me one by one :roll:

By the way, I am a big fan of the reverse grid race!

Soo here comes my first race report:
Quali: i was able to put in a good lap about halfway through the Quali, hoping it would be enough for 2nd. However Gorka got 2nd in the last minutes, leaving me on P3 for the first Race.
Race 1: After a decent start i had a exciting fight with Gorka for 2nd place, although it seems, he thought i was Stefan :-P . we passed each other three times cleanly, having much fun. on the fourth pass (he was passing me) a slight touch of the cars occured, leaving us spinning and taking out someone else in the process. after that i carefully rejoined the race behind Fergy. After chasing him for one or two laps, my chance for passing came, as he got very sideways in a corner. on the following straight, i had more speed than him, getting slightly ahead on the runup to the fast right-left combo. sadly fergy didn\'t notice me on the inside, pulling into me at the apex. after that second crash, i managed to get 8th.
Race 2: in race two my inexperience and overambition were coming through. after fighting with stefan for one or two laps i was slipstreaming him on the start-straight. on the runup to turn one, i went for the inside line, with a little bit more speed, but as i soon realiced, not enough speed to overtake him before the corner. the thought came just a slight moment too late, so that i started braking too late, to clear the inside of the corner for Stefan. locking up my brakes in panic, i touched his back into the corner, spinning him around. shame on me!
Race 3: on the start, it was time for stefans revenge ;-) he and someone else crashed right in front of me. i had too much speed to break or avoid the two, so i crashed right into them and landed upside down. after the crash my steering was bent, but everyting else was ok, so i was able to finish the race.

So overall i had a good start into league racing but was behaving a bit foolishly. after all, i still have to learn a lot in racing real persons, as i mostly raced offline to date. thanks for the fun, and i hope you guys will tolerate the remnants of my foolishnes, as i try to fight it.
by the way: can someone recommend a good, free recording program? i would love to load up some scenes from my replay, like my fight with gorka :-)

LMAO!!!! I hit Nikos in Race 2 I think he has a massive magnet inside his car and switches it on when he see us coming

race 1: I totally blew it
race 2 I totally blew it but finished my first race even thought I was sucked in by Nikos super magnet
race 3 OMG I blew it

summary I need to do a lot more dam racing to gain Race experience it is just a shame you guys have to avoid my car when I am learning lol and My car can be coming from any where more than likely from above so do not for get to look up once in a while

The best program to record is FRAPS. I have to record videos in half size as my computer can\'t deal with full resolution recording (HD not quick enough).
