![]() Can any of the great designers out their perhaps get that image in a header file for me? Think we could do with a new header with the new season starting soon.

I'm preparing a season calender, I have tracks in mind from last season. If you've got any track ideas to add post them here. I'm steering away from the modern track as much as possible.
In no particular order: Monaco Belgium Brianza Brianza 10k Zolda Kyalami Lime Rock Palm Beach Putnam Park Nordscheife Snetterton Croft Texas Speedway Sebring If you have a 60's style track in mind please let me know. Sim Racers 4 Life Come race the classics

As much as I love historic stuff, I find Monaco an impossible track with F1s.
Same goes for Lime Rock and Palm Beach (but perhaps Im over exaggerating). New Nurbs looks very promising, if its a conversion of the Rf track, it is an amazing place to be. ![]()

i dont like the track choices- be nice to do some other tracks with these cars?- get rid of tracks like putnam (the club type tracks)and put us on something we can open these babies up a bit like maybe blackwoood. or at least choose tracks that have wide flat surfaces mostly- manhandling these things around club tracks is no fun racing imo-

I think that Aintree should be on the list, it is an historic track.

Frankly, I wouldn't know why small (club) tracks shouldn't be on the list. Putnam is still a nice drive with these F1's. I can imagine Croft being a blast. Monaco is very small, I agree, but keep in mind there's about 5 Monaco's at the Nurburgring alone so should we skip that track as well?
The cars are scary but I don't think we should count tracks out for that reason alone...

Longford 1967 8)
The maker said hope to have an rF2 v0.9 release in the next week or so. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/11...gford-1967 Skill factor required to get round track without crashing, I say High :o

For me tracks where i can enjoy the racing itself rather than spending all my time trying to keep control of the car and not really racing at all
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

I agree with Marcel. We should of course have smaller tracks like Monaco and Putnam Park in our championship. It's not only about fighting your opponent, but also the track, like they did back in the days. It's not that hard to drive (read: not impossible). You just drive it like your F2 previous season, not using more throttle than possible, and take advantage of more horsepower on the short straights only :
Same goes for Putnam Park but it actually has a quite long straight. I think it's absolutely possible to have a race here. Think about how many drivers retired races in the 60's. Sometimes it was only 4-6 drivers out of 20 finishing the race. Mostly because of car failures, but in our case maybe because of crashing into the mediterranean sea...I'm no fan of Lime Rock however, just a few medium/high speed corners with no good overtaking possibilities. Neither I'm a fan of Palm Beach or Texas. Palm must be the most boring track in rF2, together with Mills, and I know some will agree. Therefor I ask you to replace it, if enough people agree (?). The new Nordschleife is unfortunately impossible to include as it is now, with no pits (?), no starting and finishing lines, no green lights or flags. I'd love to have it included though... If I was an experienced modder, I'd ask for permission to remove all railings, remove the painting from the track, add the old start/finish straight with a fresh (old) pit building and grandstands to make it a 60's track. Anyway, a Nordschleife is a must, so the 'old' one is probably the best choice. Great choices: Kyalami and Zolder. Spa and Brianza are natural, and Monaco too. IMO we should replace Palm Beach with something more fun. Also Texas and Lime Rock. But that depends on if anyone else agree? I guess many likes Texas, so this might be just a desperate attempt from my side to have it removed ??? : ![]() Longford 67 is a MUST if it's released in time and works well enough! (maybe it's possible to replace a track during the season if it's released later?)

I also agree that Aintree should be added, it's a charming little track.
So, we could replace two excisting tracks with Aintree and Longford. IMO we should replace Palm Beach (pleeeaaase), and Lime Rock. What about that, folks?

My wish list:
Kyalami Brianza Monaco Belgium Zolder Aintree Nordschleife Putnam Park Brianza 10k Snetterton Croft Texas Longford Sebring In this particular order, or something similar, with Longford in the end so that it's probably finished.

Monaco is a must! Racing is a lot more than doing one fast lap. Yes it's difficult, but it always was difficult in real racing. Every season I watched Sir Jackie Stewart's advices how to race Monaco (in a F1). This race is one (maybe the) highlight in the F1 season for me.
Nordschleife will be in much better state then. For me this is the queen of all races! (although not historically correct) Never liked palm beach, does it have any historical relevance regarding historic F1? I agree to replace it with Aintree/Longford. Lime Rock Park, any relevance? Actually I like Texas Speedway. Do we need two events for Brianza and Brianza 10k? Brianza 10k with F1 and I'm happy

No I don't think so, and from what I can tell reading their official site, not very interesting history. We could start with replacing this track with Aintree, and watch the progress of Longford to hopefully have it to replace another track (Lime/Snetterton/Croft?) vittorio Wrote:Actually I like Texas Speedway. Do we need two events for Brianza and Brianza 10k? Brianza 10k with F1 and I'm happy Yeah I don't know... The short Brianza is the most accurate to have included as they didn't use the bankings with these cars, but 10k provides a very special race that some could appreciate. It was fun with the F2's, but with F1's I don't think it will be possible to go into the bankings side by side ;D It could still be fun but the extra lap around the bankings only offer further drafting opportunities to a track with many straights already. But I don't mind, we can do both tracks, but I don't think we should remove the proper layout (short)
