So easy to end your race at turn 3.... lots of cold blood will be needed on race day.

After driving here again for the first time in a long time, i'm wondering why Jarama isn't on the calendar?
To me, both tracks have a low poly surface with gaps and very low res real road. Is it just me or do we have 3 lanes of real road?
Doesn't bother me, bit harsh on my G25 but I deal with it. Jarama is a great track too so a great shame to miss it out if we're including tracks like this.
I'm glad we have the new nords though, as Nords75 is the worst of the lot on my wheel!

Trying to avoid the modern circuits for the 60's series, not always possible I know and we're not blessed with options. Also I've been on the g25 the last few days as my wheel was stolen by a certain visitor here and have had no issues with it. FFB smoothing around 16 I think.

Oh is the version of Jarama too modern?
It's not much different from when they raced in '68:

Reading the finishing order in that video brought back memories of how bad the safety was back then , of those 6 drivers only 2 would reach old age .
This prompted me to check the entry list . Of 13 entrants 8 would not survive , 1 of those would also lose his brother and 1 of the survivors would lose his son in 2009 , this was also the first F1 race after the death of Jim Clarke .
For me this was the golden age of racing , its sad to remember it also had a very dark side as well
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

Doing 300km/h in these flimsy bathtubs was certain that it would cause many deaths.
These guys who drove them were really brave!

Make sure you practice it as your pit exits, the line runs all the way down to T1. Off the race line your braking distance may vary.

Well things are really hoting up as the day draws nearer the sleeps are less and our times are getting quicker. I must say I'm surprised as to how tight nit everybodys times are, were looking at alot of bumper to bumper racing first half of the race, all drivers consistancy has improved remarkably especially on such a difficult circuit as kyalami. The tricky part is going to be overtaking as the track is so narrow theres little margin for error.
Stratergy keeps going through my head about what to do in race 1, I feel faster and able to challenge atleast for a top 3 but deep down my new times telling me to do something else. Race 2 I'm a little more confident with, the plan is rock solid.
We are all rivals to each other, our friends are also our enemies. This early on in the season everybody will be racing hard not to let the points run away or face a harder task later on all season. While Kyalami is far from any favourite of mine it doesn't suit my style but I've learn to drive it well but I still hope divine intervention will play its part for me here. Next few races after here I'm happy with.

what to say. I did too much stupid things today.
in R1 I was unable to react to to conservative approaching to T1 of driver in front of me, maybe completely miss the braking point. I tried to save outside the track but unfortunately the grass did not slow me and crossing the track again I took 1 driver with me. :-[
in R2 I forgot to shift to 1 so sat like a duck after green :-[ than tried to let the space to driver behind me on my left but suffered a little spin on that white line which led to light contact. but driver behind me reacted to my movement, lost control and another 2 cars out :-[
than after some laps my backup application which I forgot to switch off showed the win desktop and my race was done.
shame on me.
this series is cursed for me. but I will not give up. let me apologize and of course any kind of penalty accepted automatically.
