Qualy

Better than I expected, never had gone below 1:22 when practicing offline so I was surprised to get 21s quite often and also pole position, probably more rubber on track.

Race 1

Not well concentrated during the first laps, a bit tension that caused me to make a few mistakes causing Dj to overtake me. Being behind him it was imposible to pass him, he defended his position so well even when he made some mistakes too.
Fearing this could be the same as in Sebring I decided to pit earlier on lap 9 to try to get the fresher tire advantage (but having the risk of being stuck in traffic).
Pitstop was perfect, 24sec. I had a couple of cars ahead but I could push my outlap to the limit. As I passed the finish line I saw Dj still on the pitlane. With eleven laps to go all I had to do was drive without mistakes, so I did, kept concentrated and brought the car to a win that tasted so good.

Race 2

Starting 10 I tried to stay away from trouble the first curves. The grid move pretty well and clean. This first laps were all mad and fun at the same time, lots of cars overtaking each other. I was quite enjoying it even making a mistake after the hairpin, going through the grass at corner exit and losing 4 positions.
It was lap 3 when Christian, ahead of me went for a very early pitstop, that is a risky move but it can bring him to victory, I thought. I decided to keep on track and see if I could deal with traffic. I overtook a few cars and found myself 5 seconds behind David Coyne who also was behind Dj leading the race.
I tried the same move as in race 1 going for an early pitstop. I entered on lap 8, exited a couple of seconds ahead of Christian and pushed hard on the next two laps with the fresh grippy tires. I then found myself in virtually second place 3 sec behind Dj.
I was comfortable behing Dj thinking of second place as a very good result when we approached a couple of drivers who were in a fierce battle. DjC couldn't find a way past them for a lap when after the long straight I saw a big cloud of smoke and Dj going through the grass between the other two cars.
I god the lead there and drove the next 4 laps to bring the car to victory. A victory that Dj deserved but that's the unfair part of racing.

I was the one of these cars, the other was Cosimo.
We true were in a fierce battle, I dont think anyone of us realized DJ was so near, I believe we didnt have the time to look at the progress bar, for half a lap were in a dog fight.
I think we both saw suddenly in our mirrors DJ and we both tried to get out of his way as quickly as we could.
Only problem was that Cos went left, I went right.
Result? We blocked the whole road and suddenly DJ had nowhere to go but to the grass and he did :S

wow, that's neat
the truth is, DJ wanted me to drive for him I said OK, but let gorka have it at the last second. ha ha :o

my qually went well for me, did my personal best. I wanted a 22 and I had the sectors but couldn't put it together - dang it!
race 1 went well also, until... I was running 7th on the 17th lap - minding my tires going into thunder valley - and then - and THEN - I lost all steering! >
could barely finish the race cause I couldn't keep it on track, but mindful that I had to for points - even though - I didn't want to, I soldier on - PRAYING I wouldn't take out the leaders. lucky that went well.
race 2, lap one - I think somehow my starting position was confused with tim, I should have started from 17th and tim should have started from 11th - but, no matter... going into thunder valley I got turned around from behind and was very quickly righted to 17th position. was fighting my way back when going into thunder valley steering went again! DANG IT! as it was lap 4 with the car undrivable (force feedback reset didn't work) and I REALLY don't want to mess up other's race - I retired......... and so it goes :-[
