It's the final round, seasons is over and super David Cruickshank has already been crown as Champion. It's time to have fun and test our resistance in this final race of the season, the 2 hours of Le Mans.
Fill up your fuel tanks, lower your wings and get ready for the high speed straights and great curves from this track.Racing for two ours will require both a great physical and mental work.

SR4L thanks you for taking part in this season and hopes to see you again in the next one coming this autumn.

Hint:
90's Le Mans Driver and Eurosport WEC commentator Tomás Saldaña always points out that in this low wing configuration, cars for Le Mans are setup mainly for the "Porsche Esses". If a car handles properly in that series of curves it will be well set up for the whole track.

Thanks to you three and to everyone giving a hand to make this posible.

Talking about Le Mans (we'll talk about the future league later after this event Smile )...

I've just done 2-3 laps short stints in race fuel. I think tires should do it without much problem considering they'll have to last at least an hour.

Mi biggest concern is braking for the first corner, as I like tail-happy cars I always get trouble on the braking. Maybe I'll have to move the brake balance forward while driving everytime I get to the main straight and move it back backwards after it.

here is a just to say..
it is roughly 4 days til the race and I am not sure if it is a day and night transition race.
or
a straight daylight race????? due to the very poor headlights during transition... some feeling we have our hands full (and Bladder) with a 2 hour race, just make it daylight - clear skies - I am all for that option Wink
we had talk about it in another post, but not here in the "Official" post.. more importantly - PAUL must know..
I am usually in the dark anywho - so please inform me :o

Paul is setting up server Jerry.
I think the best way to clear this is mailing him directly if you want a straight answer, Im not taking part in this race so I keep completely neutral about it.

I know I'm rusty but is there anything I'm doing wrong in the set up that makes the Lola clutch ride?

... No Ashes talk please Tongue

Do you mean of Lola slipping her clutch?
Yes, she does that even if you have autoclutch on.
Only way to prevent this afaik is to momentarily lift off before you change gear.

The Lola's clutch..... That's why I'm racing autoclutch this league.

In autoclutch normally it will only slip when going from first to second gear.
Will you join for the race Bryan?

Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

We will race in daylight due to the poor Lola headlights.

Did someone say barby?

Thanks for the reply Paul Wink

I have had the same problem with the clutch thingy - you get all excited and forget about easy on the gas, then smash the loud pedal and go NOWHERE! I messed with the clutch settings and gave it more pac - like from 4 to 8, but then your trade off is the driving feel will be different.. but you can give it a try...

hope to see you ALL on sunday. ;D
