This time we will be racing the Toyota Celica GTO at Zandvoort. Lots of power, the Celica will demand all your skills in this bumpy and twisty track. Don't overdo it or you'll waste the tires in the glimpse of an eye.

I downloaded the link you had for GTO it is 1.00 - BUT - server 2 has version 1.03 - I have tried googling it, mediafire and rfactor forum - can't find it..
might be a good idea to have our dropbox have it??
or, can someone point the way?

Someone made an update without permission, so that is probably the 1.03 version. Because the original by 32_pixels has never been updated.
I think we should stick with the 1.00 version. The thread with 1.03 version at isiforums was closed anyway.

Btw, here is a real road file. Would be great if you could upload it to both GTO and Lola Server, Paul

It's all about the racing line here, or that was my impression.

I hope the new one is really good because I really liked the old one. So, someone decided to change downforce levels, tires etc and not only game-breaking bugs?

Just tried it.. well, straight out of the box I have to say that the 1.00 version is light years ahead. Massive understeer makes it easy to drive like the clio.. changing only the rear wing makes the car drive very unnatural and it wants to spin even in the hairpins (where the downforce should not matter that much).

I guess that some time consuming setup-work can make the car drivable again, but we will see....

Then it should be turned back to verson 1.00 so everybody can deal with the car.

Gr Last night. Great mod too.

I give one of the white Martini cars a bit of bump in T1, turns out to be Jerry, I did wait around for some moments but then carried on when I lost track of Jerry. But he was not far behind all the time after a minor off, sorry about that Jerry if I had seen you there I would have give position back! Although I soon did anyway when I walled it

I think I use quite different setups than most, prob brake bias much more to rear, makes my car go into some corners so much faster its massive, then others corners I lose it all back again. Same thing was happening at T2 at Mid-O in T290.

No Problem...... those cars were a handful. I slid up into Javier, while he was sliding away from someone else. Sorry. I think that was just the nature of the beast! we had some great battles..
here is a photo of us in first race at the finish line - 4th, 5th and 6th......... second was same with Mel in it......... but 7th 8th and 9th..

I'm glad you enjoyed the race.
I'm having to forget about racing fun events. My little simracing time will be dedicated to practice for the T290 events.
