Wow what a race
First of all lets thank Paul who after coming from holidays he stayed through the race and solved its problems, wd mate
What to say about Nords. We are lucky we have a DJC who did this and we race in a still living legend.
It doesnt really matter how well you do at Nords, going around it at race speeds while not killing yourself is a feat by itself.
I did just that and I feel exhausted and happy at the same time, how did you do girls and guys?

Yeah, thanks Paul!
After the distrastrous event at Mosport, I decided to revert to my old router and it seem to work fine. The problem has something to do with ip adresses I'm quite sure.. Our new fiber has to go through a switch, otherwise the TV won't work. Luckily we're still paying for the old broadband so I could use it at the same time.
QUALI
Got a big improvement on my previous pb already on my first hotlap. Later managed to cut off another second, 8:49 something. Proved to be more than enough for pole 8)
RACE 1
I had a great pace in this race and I was never threatened. My brother managed to hold off DJ but neither of them could keep up with me so after the first lap their cars were pretty much tiny dots in my mirror. I could drive relaxed and therefore I made no mistake 8)
RACE 2
Better late than never Got a good start and passed Rob in front of me. I also managed to pass DJ. But in the little mayhem in T1 (not as bad as first race tho), Coyne spun in front of me and I could not completely avoid him. Made me loose some speed and the position to DJ again. Then he was really quick in handling the traffic ahead as usual. After half a lap, I had only DJ and Gorka in front of me. I closed the gap but decided to take it easy when I saw that I had used more than expected of my tires. I left a slightly too big gap so I could not get a draft from DJ on the straight. Next lap I was right behind him but it was impossible to overtake. It was also hard to follow him in the "dirty" air behind his car. Meanwhile, Gorka left us behind. Once again I was too far behind DJ after a mistake in the last sector, but luckily he also made a mistake so I catched him. While preparing to overtake him I saw Gorka driving slow on the grass and then he left the race. So now we were 1st and 2nd. I managed to overtake him on the straight and after that he could not follow me. With one lap to go I saw that Rob had closed the gap to DJ as well, so I hoped that he could steel some points from him but unfortunately not Good race guys.
Thanks everyone. See you at Spa!

That was a great race! So much fun on the straights! Wow! Apologies to those who suffered from my mistakes. The second race was something exceptional. Going to watch the video record. Probably it will be edited and uploaded in few days. Thanks to everyone who took part in such a great event and congratulation to the winners and podiums!

Hi all,
after trying some low wing setups where i did not have enough control i went with the slihgtly tweaked Mosport config an that worked just fine. In Q i could take off 10sec of my previous PB and at P7 this felt good.
R1: Big fail: My wife must ave taken a photo with her mobile phone which then gets uploaded to Google and to the dropbox and then the dropbox on the PC downloads it. No good when it is the starting sequence - waiting for server, could not see the others, hit the throttle but must have been too soon. -> DQ. Did not feel good. I did not yell at the family but that took strength. Will define roles for all devices on the router that get blocked between 8 and 11 sunday evening.
R2: I dont know, am I the only one who takes it a bit easier in the first turns as I keep on getting hit from behind usually throwing me to the end of the field. However, no damage and then the driving could start. After a while i made it to Siarhei and Edwin, I managed to overtake both but then lost it and fell back behind both again. Close racing for the remaining race with several side by side situations. It felt very intense and was well worth the starting hassle.
Best
Tobias

Didnt have a lot of time to develop a setup I was happy with , but on my second run I squeezed a 9.02 out of the car so I was happy with that , on my first run I was behind Andi and managed to take him out when I fell off my chair (sorry Andi) :-[ , does anyone else lean into corners when they drive.
Race 1
I lined up alongside my arch rival Ramon who got a cracking start and got the jump on me and Gorka , I chased the pair of them trying not to take too much out of my tyres , Ramon made a mistake at the Karousel so Gorka had to back off and I passed them both , I knew Gorka was faster than me so when the challenge came I gave him the line so I could concentrate on keeping Ramon behind , after that I just tried to keep the gap between us steady as I knew I would have tyre problems on the last lap , fortunately for me I held position and finished still ahead .
Race 2
Again I lined up alongside Ramon but this time I got a cracking start but sadly got tapped and spun at the first corner , I couldnt move without causing mayhem so had to sit there as the field streamed pass me , got going again in next to last place but started to quickly make up places as other drivers had incidents , couldnt believe it when I saw Ramon in the distance having a battle with Sepp and Dan so I presumed he had had problems which had dropped him back , I know Dan is not the easiest person to pass so I hoped he would hold Ramon up until I got with them , this he duly did (thnx Dan) and I managed to catch them as they entered the main striaght , I then managed a tripple draft to pass them all before the last corner , I pulled a small gap but on the next lap but I could see I was catching one of the MOB guys and at the speed we were going he would probably back me into Ramon as we entered the main striaght , fortunately he decided to throw himself at the scenery and gave me a clear track , last lap I could see Andi ahead and I was catching him quickly and it looked like I had a chance to get him on the main striaght but he did a better job than me entering the striaght and by the time I caught him I knew I wouldnt be able to stop if I tried the pass , my tyres were dead ,so I settled for a very unexpected 5th place .
This was a very enjoyable event despite the problems which Paul got on top of very quickly , great driving all and well done Admin you gave us a great one .

Q: Despite my best efforts I could not break the 9:10 barrier, so I ended up in 10th place. Not too bad, but also not too good.
R1: I dont recall too much of this race, but I had a proper start and slotted in behind Harri. On Lap 2, I managed to get by on the GP loop and edge out a 4-5 Sec lead. I made few mistakes, got into a groove and hoped to bring P8 (or what it was) home, but it was not to be. On the last lap, I lost it on Hohe Acht, smashed into the bariers and Harri whisked by. Sheepishly limped to the finish after that. So much for my concentration skills.
R2: After some Race Control Psycho Shenanigans™, the second race got finally underway and I had a good start - P1 after the first corners. As I reached Flugplatz, the usual suspects were already on my tail, and I did not put up a fight with those aliens. Not knowing what happened behind me, I settled into a good rhythm soon and somehow managed to keep P4. On the last lap, DC was gaining rapidly on me, but for some reason the ususal "get into the slip stream on the straight, get by and be gone" spiel did not work out this time, and I got away with 4th place! I left the track with a big smile on my face, plus Team RLR should now be firmly in second place..
Although a bit uneventful for me, these were great races. With every event I like the Nordschleife more, I think it is now my favourite Track, by some miles (around 25km, to be exact)! It also fitted the forgiving T290 very well - I did not too many excursions into the scenery in practice and the races. Did not try the T70 though, which is probably another story altogether.
See you all in Spa!

Being a mid-pack kind of guy, the race went great for me.
Q: Mid-pack
R1: Great lap and a half battle with I can't recall who right off the line. Waited for the driver to make a mistake, made my pass and pretty much hotlapped the rest of the race. Harri, ahead of me, was putting a second a lap on me, and Santiago was about 9 seconds behind and was holding steady. Finished 9th.
R2: Didn't blow the start like I USUALLY do when I have to start on pole. Made it out of T1 in 5th, thank god. I just tried to stay out of the way of the approaching alien drivers for the next 3 laps. More solo hotlapping. Then, on lap 3 on the uphill just after the carousel, my rF2 minimzed which sent me into the wall and allowed 2 drivers to get by me. Spots I probably would have lost anyway, but, one never knows. Thankfully, no one was hurt!
Finished 7th.
Two mid-pack finishes for a mid-pack driver. A good day.
Thanks to Paul overcoming all of the technical shenanigans and pulling off a fun event.
When in doubt, pass out.

;D I can't help it either, Dave. My wife laughs at me.

Siarhei, don't worry about it. I'd already been stuffed into two walls pretty hard, had no front suspension and the steering wheel was at an angle pointing to the left. Accelerating, decelerating, braking all made the car dive around all over the place and the steering was so loose it was really hard to control. I hit you as much as you hit me. Car was not driveable after the carousel. Too badly damaged.

The impact was really heavy. But the race was total fun anyways.

These type of gloves is quite easy to use with keyboard. I was switching LCD mode between damage and positions and that took too much attention. Need to quit that habit XD. It's TrackIR that helps me to look around. But it's useless with single screen in general. Dreaming about tripple Asus ROG Would be so much better!
Thank you Nikos!

Yep, I can really recommend trackmap. Customizable to your liking. I'm using lap, position, lcd and tire temps/wear only, so I've got a pretty clean display.
