I am really in a big dilemma because this Sunday our race is at the same time as the real F1 GP and normally I do not miss any race. I have not decided which event I will attend ... I do not like to make that kind of choice. ;-)

Sadly i will miss this one as i am away on holiday , i will have to drive twice as fast at Indy Smile
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

I couldn't join the first race as I had a visiter over.
This week I'm rebuilding my PC, so me joining depends on whether I manage to get it all installed again before Sunday (and get some laps done).
Third race I'm not home.
So if I can't make it again, I hope I can at least join the last race with the 917's... Smile

The Datsun and Celica 1600 are a fair match, but the Celica 2000 feels about two seconds a lap quicker.

Keen to hear what we're all driving for this one. I'm thinking the Celica Fictional 2ltr. Great fun. I'll give the Datsun SSS a run tomorrow and see. At this point it's the Celica. The track and mod will make for some interesting racing.

I can't bring myself to choose a car with a known performance defecit, so its going to have to be one of the 2lt celicas. I haven't noticed any difference between them, so probably a '73

Celica 2ltr fictional for me I tried the datsun but I can't get close to the Times of the Celica

What setting will mechanical failures be? (normal/time scaled/off)

Well stick with normal. I'll get Gorka to confirm pit lane speed. I think we leave it as is so we can fly in and out for that needed splash and dash.

Track bar is interesting. A setting I've never used before. Any suggestions?

Track bar affects rear-axle roll-steer. Depends on what you want. Also affects rear bump-steer.
Adjustment varies car to car and track to track.

I don't know what track bar does, but I set it to maximum and immediately set a new pb. This car doesn't cool very well so temp management will be interesting, especially as there's lots of power after the rev warning light comes on.

Don't forget everyone that clocks have gone back so the race is 20:00 GMT not BST.

Thank you Dan. Not sure why some of your post await approval. We have this problem with some other members as well. We're looking into it.
