Right, first off, we will re-run Round 8 on Sunday 16th.

I don’t know what happened - I restarted the server as usual at 5:25PM and it sounds as if it was up for practice but then fell over? I usually try to log in around Qualy / race start to check everything is ok but didn’t last night, unfortunately.

Reading some of the comments in the shout box, maybe some the volunteer efforts of our key admins might have been taken a teeny bit for granted until the normal smooth running tripped up?Rolleyes

It’s a bit unfortunate that I took time and chose yesterday to update the Wednesday server - otherwise it would still have been running the League track… I’m now conflicted as to whether I should’ve been more or less efficient on that one…o_OBig Grin

Anyway, failures are the seeds of learning - so let us be grateful that we finally Winkhave an opportunity to make some improvementsBig Grin

Firstly, I will make sure @DJCruicky and @deecee52 still have my contact number as a minimum. If both of those two are expected to be absent from a League event, I will make sure AN Other also has some expedient way of getting hold of me.

I will also endeavour (where possible - and I have done this from overseas hotel rooms while on holiday in the past!) to log in around league Qualy/ race start times to make sure the server is running at that point.

I’m intrigued by some of the comments last night regarding (variety of) content and would genuinely love to hear your thoughts on what cars/tracks you’d like to see in the future. Probably the hardest part of the admin role is to find, test, choose content and to find a balance between accessibility, variety, continuity and just plain enjoyment…

There you go. I’m sorry that the evening didn’t go as planned - but glad in a way that we’ve a chance to make things better.

That looked brutal! Three finishers?

What happened to you, Ed? Looked (from LiveRacers map) as if you crashed at the final corner - thing is these cars are very quick to repair and you could’ve maybe got back on your way…

By the time of my final crash the car was impossible to drive in a straight line and I don't remember it being near the pits. I didn't do any race prep and the car was a bit unpredictable under heavy suspension load. It didn't help that I forgot to request the pitstop and was wondering why the red arrow wouldn't appear. Then when waiting for the last cars to cross the line my game uptime ran over 103 minutes and dutifully crashed to desktop.

Bad luck - it was only the LiveRacers map view and some of the other DNFs showed up in strange positions.
