Thursday Fun! Affiliate server - SCB Server 1
#21
Cracking fun last night (and the kerbs literally cracked my rig earlier in the week!)

I can’t make SCB this coming week but hope to be back the week after.

The Alfa Romeo is way faster than the other 2 cars. Almost 3 seconds faster.

I thought we’d given them a go (possibly on a test server?) and found something like that… Alfas it is then! I’ve been rubbish in recent weeks and need a win!

Yep, you're right. Apologies but we got lost in a shitload of cars and tracks. We've now changed the cars to

DJCruicky do you know why you had so many disconnections last Thursday? Is it fixable?

I get my internet with my 4G mobile. I don't know if it was a coincidence but Thursday night there was a lot of solar activity in the sky, the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)
This might have been affecting my mobile network. Only guessing.
But at least someone else got to win for a change Big Grin.

Hope Stu does the 1930s cars again sometime in the future, they were good.

Admins have the ability to ‘stick’ a thread so that it, well, sticks to the top of the list in the forum.

The old forum allowed us to just untick a box to unstick threads and let them fall down the list as new posts arrive - but the only way I can (currently) see to do this now is to post a Quick Reply and untick the box then. By way of explanation (you have to type *something* in a Reply), I chose ‘unticking thread’…

By the way, SR4L has had no funding for most of the last year and effectively was in debt under the old system. The new forum has so far been generously paid for by an individual I won’t name here and the server has run for the last X months on a spare laptop of mine (I’m happy enough to pay for the electricity for now at least). It’s great to see a trickle of the old names back - and to get crossover drivers from SCB - just thought it might be worth flagging where we are right now.

well I appreciate whoever is funding us but to be fair we had no idea we were in trouble for money on the old site but now on this one I doubt most know it exists.
there are no chats and no talk of races for weekends.
I have missed our Sunday races and I am sure others have also. I hate to see SR4L fade away.
