Round 5 Lime Rock Run Down ,
and we thought Monaco was a hard nights racing...

Lime Rock pushed drivers skills and tried there patients. With 18 drivers competing on this small tight track it was always going to be a tough night behind the wheel.

Race 1 saw the usual suspects up the front Wieger, Santisteban and Cruickshank spraying the champagne over the pit babes. Great result too for Jason Reid in his first league race with SR4L who at one point was fighting for first, well done Cook, Minga, Johnson, Neela and Everon all in the points.

Race 2 Wiegers continued his good form with yet another win closely followed by Santisteban and your truly further back. The top ten points were shared around again with rivals Niko and Vittorio continuing there fight for those hard to get points.

Race 3 Mr. Consistent Cruickshank has to rear his head at least once per event and has a knack of doing it in the reverse grid races this time was no exception with a well earned win. Marcel took second while Jason Reid stood on the podium with a great drive for third. The fast DC taking some good points while Fisk, J.Poehlman, Minga, Johnson and can't spell his surname Niko all finishing in the top ten.

Teams: Lowland have a good lead on what looks like a close fight the remaining places. Will Race for Food will need a new member as Stefan M won't be racing the rest of the season. Gorka will be keen to sign a new member.

Great turn out again by the SR4L member with 18 drivers on track for the night.

You will need to log into the SR4L League site and go to Drivers/Edit Data/Seasons
Choose the mod, SR4L F2 60's Fun Race League.
Choose your car and car number e.g. Spark F2 number 23.
Add your real name to Nick in Sim* Our league policy is race with your real name.

Car Choices:
EVE F2 MS7 is car number 22
EVE F2 MS7/1 is car number 23
EVE F2 MS7/2 is car number 3
Spark F2 is car number 23 or 48
Winged Spark is now available.

Points System

Drivers and Team points use the current F1 points system 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 .
Qualifying bonues for Pole position = 1 point
Fastest lap of the race = 2 points
Most laps on lead bonus = 1 point
Finish 100% of the race = 2 points

I'm feeling so uncomfortable in this track. I think it's just my driving style, agressive, can't get comfortable in that much slow second gear corners.

I've made a side by side comparison vid of my current Spark F2 wing and wingless pb's.
On the left the F2 without wings in 1.20.487 and on the right, the Spark F2B with wings, in 1.20.413, only slightly faster but on a bit less rubbered track.
They don't exactly line up at the start of the lap (25fps frame rate resolution in the way here ) but the advantage of wings in corners and how they slow you down at straights is clear to see.
I've added stills at certain points for you to see it clearer so don't think the vid is broken..

Nice comparison. Looks like winged lost a a couple of tenths in the final 2 curves.

Hi think the reasing why I struggle so much in this track must be it's bumpy surface and low speeds makes me hard to bring traction: I've never seen a track with such amount of spikes in rear wheels rotation speed.

That looks weird, I'll take a look at my logs tonight.

If you stop the vid at the point where the kerbs at the right after the long straight match the front wheels, (why didn't I put the last still there...), at about 1.34, you'll see wingless closed the gap already there by it's topspeed and maybe a little later braking.

looks like a job for the dampers gorka have you messed around with those yet? Im having some trouble as well here. I can put a nice hot lap in but im not consistent enough to stay in the range of it

Tried serveral, high values, lower, but can't get to a comfortable solution.

By the way, a new problem has happened to me, and the wierdest thing is that it only happens in Offline mode. Started happening after doing a single lap at nordschleife.

I apply full lock but wheels get stuck in almost half, and start getting sudden changes from almost half to full lock.
Check the video, only happening in offline mode

EDIT: problem solved, I had by mistake enabled steering help in offline mode.
