Palm Beach in brief

Some great racing on the night and again Wiegers, Santisteban and Cruickshank sharing the honours with a win a piece for the evening. Great drives by Coyne and Reid in races two and three respectively both getting podium finishes. Other consistent drivers for the night, Minga, Fisk, Tumbus, Baumann, Everon, De Robertis and Jesus with a miraculous Easter Sunday come back all featuring in the 10 ten over the three racers.
Wiegers holds on to a good lead in the championship over Santisteban with Cruickshank in third. Teams are heating up, Lowland leading leading the way with Will Race for Food eating there way back. The fight for third is close with Swirey Deejay, Billy Cart Bangers and DaVit fighting an intense battle for the third place trophy.

Yet again a great turn out given the fact it was Easter. Buckle up for the big challenge this Sunday and good luck to everyone, it'going to be one helll of a race.

Mod&Cars
You will need to log into the SR4L League site and go to Drivers/Edit Data/Seasons
Choose the mod, SR4L F2 60's Fun Race League.
Choose your car and car number e.g. Spark F2 number 23.
Add your real name to Nick in Sim* Our league policy is race with your real name.

Car Choices:
EVE F2 MS7 is car number 22
EVE F2 MS7/1 is car number 23
EVE F2 MS7/2 is car number 3
Spark F2 is car number 23 or 48
Winged Spark is now available.

Points System

Drivers and Team points use the current F1 points system 75, 54, 45, 36, 30, 24, 18, 12, 6 and 3.
Qualifying bonues for Pole position = 1 point
Fastest lap of the race = 2 points
Most laps on lead bonus = 1 point
Finish 100% of the race = 20 points

Wow, this will be one huge challenge. Just finishing the race will be one big achievement. 50% damage eek' oh my ##.
Requirements: 100% concentration, Lots of luck.
Watch them big curbs, they do jump out at you when you least expect them too.
Think the winner will not be the fastest, but the more careful driver. Not me, I'm over the wall every lap .

I'm really concerned with gearing setup. Can't decide wether to go on close ratio gears and a 5th one set for the straight, or a wider leveled ratio most suited for the faster sections. Dependending on the track area they feel a lot better/worse.

This means to "simply" survive the 80min and finish after that even when not being on leader lap, right?

That's right Kal, if your in the pits once time has finished make sure to finish the lap.

You'll see to finish higher than you think when you keep the car in one piece.

I Tested the damage tonight. If both wheels scuff a guard rail the car can still be drivable. Do it twice and forget it, come in asap. Minor damage will cost anything from 50 to 90 seconds and will be worth fixing.

I think the most problematic can be crashing and being thrown outside the track, you may spend several minutes looking for a way out.

Also hitting severely into the beginning of a fence can rip off a wheel. :o

Such a difficult but satisfactory race coming up.
