Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall

Found a couple of hours of practice time.
I think I found a better balanced car, great for a 1 hour race.

My poor little system still has some issues with Silverstone. I'll see if I can get the performance to the point that I'm not a hinderance to others.

Racing laps not yet announced.
Considering speedy Hedlunds lapping an average 2:11s and summing pitlane and pitstop time ; 27 laps should be the closest to a 60min race.

Yes I was thinking 28 laps but I didn't count the pitstop time... so 27 laps it should be. But I hope 26 because I like even numbers (and because of heavy tire wear lol)

Did half hour run yesterday. Lap times were fine to begin with 2:12's, but after only 6 laps there was big drop in grip for me. Averaging 2:14's after that. Don't know if I was just day dreaming for them laps .
No idea what would happen if we need to pit on lap 1 and do an hour on same tires, is that possible :O

My longest stint at the moment is 5 laps (working in the setup). The goal prior the race (probably tomorrow) will be to try to do a half race stint (from start to pitstop on lap 13 or 14).

It's actually very hard to overtake here. One could think that this track offers quite good overtaking opportunities... but the straights are too short to take advantage of slipstreaming, and the few times you're able to do that, the opponent can quite easily defend on the inside. Experienced this once again tonight against DJ, damn he is defending his position very well Makes pole even more important but it won't be easy this time.
Btw, my race pace:
When I do low 2:10's in the beginning my tires dies too quickly and I'll do 1:12's towards the end. But when doing high 2:10's as best I'm able to do 2:11's for the rest of the stint. But it's easier when you don't have an opponent breathing down your neck
BTW it would be nice with some clouds and weather variations in race session, like we have in practice session, don't you think? I don't know why it's always clear blue sky but that can't happen too often in the UK!?

I noticed that too.
When I push at first 3 or 4 laps, my next ones drop rapidly, at least 2 secs down.
Btw I get 2 liters per lap?

I don't know exactly how these tires lasted back in the 60's but I'm sure rf2 bias-ply tires are not perfect. Feels more like modern racing tires in the way they drop off. If you lock up or spinning rear tires they are gone...
2 liters per lap..yes. 1.8-1.9 for me.

Yes, I rounded to 2 liters too. Looks too litle fuel burning to me compared to the power and age of the engine.
I was happy on thursday I had won a full second to the setup I had been carring the first two races. But then comes Rik with his flying 10s and constant 11s, OMG
