Zolder has proved a very satisfying place to race, very fast lap times and tense competition.
Though my lap times were among the lowest, I was happy/lucky to get two great results just staying out of trouble and avoiding mistakes. The second race was very excausting as I started from 2nd place at the reversed grid. I managed to keep back a lot of fast guys, I think/hope I raced fairly there. Great race, thank you SR4L

Great racing... just what I needed. Thanks guys
And thanks for hosting, Paul.Joined server 3 hours before race start to get some practice. I had no time to start working on a setup, so I used my "edwin-setup" from Nords and shortened the gears and made some other small changes... It proved to work out well. It was very grippy, or maybe it was the track (compared to Nords), and it was easy to drive. I didn't expect to be as competive as usual because of my lack of practice, but I found a good pace and 1:34.8 was enough for pole once again 8)... in front of Robert. RACE 1 It was quite an easy trip, to be honest! A good start for me, while Robert had to battle mr Quickshank so that I could build up a gap. After a few laps Robert disappeared and I had only DJ left to worry about but I was increasing the gap and he never threatened me. Pitstop went fine and I could drive to finish line without problems and win the race 8) RACE 2 Finally some action again Started from 10th and I was very careful in the first corners, only gaining positions as other drivers crashed out. I was chasing Robert while we made our way up in the field. After a few laps we were top 5 and chasing David Hart in 2nd or 3rd. Robert managed to get past him in the slow right-hander before the final straight. And I had a better exit than him on that corner, so he took the defensive line. But I was surprised when he changed back to the outside just before braking zone and I accidently rammed him when he braked a little earlier than me... I'm Sorry David. Well, I saw him dissappear into the pits and I could only continue to push and try to catch Robert again. I managed to do so when he was held up by slower drivers. When we were 1st and 2nd I decided to pit one lap earlier than him, but got a slow stop (49) sec. DJ got past me and we had a great battle until 2-3 laps from the end. I catched him but made mistakes all the time and killed my tires, but somehow I finally managed to squeeze myself past him and finished 2nd behind Robert. Good race DJ ![]() Looking forward to next one! Essington? That track offered my two most action packed races last season!

Well bit of mixed feelings about this event
Quali All well, did to my standards a good lap in quali giving me a 11th place on the grid. Race 1 Loaded race set-up, hit Race........ > > > > > freeze frame.....hit ctrl/alt/del.....rFactor2 stopped working...wtf > > > . after restarting the sim, well you guys where at the end of lap one....another dnf result. so i went downstairs poor'd myself a port and smoked 2 cigarettes in 5 minutes just to get rid of the frustration.Race 2 Started second to last on the grid, with Cos left in front of me and man Cos you had a rocket start. In turn one i clipped Paul...sorry for that Paul and decided to not look who i was racing but just put in consistent laps and see where it would bring me. Along the way i had a nice battle with Jerry, Christoph and Jesus. Jesus who managed to stay in front till the last lap. Finished 7th in race 2... not to bad. Great to see my setup working again for Rikard.....i accept cheques Rik ![]() Thanks for the fun....*cough*....again thanks for the fun race 2 and thanks for hosting and setting it all up Paul.Essington server not seen yet......

Lucky day for me yesterday ;D
Qualy: I knew the track from previous SR4L seasons and I liked it a lot but I didn't practice enough with BT20. I did my PB (below 1:38) in practice before qualy, so when I did the 1:38:0xx in qualy it felt good and fair enough, 8th place in grid. Races: Both were almost the same: Right after the start I felt terrible in traffic and unable to drive at all outside my racing line or fight with anyone (lack of practice I guess) so I decided to avoid racing :o and did early pit stops in both races (2nd or 3rd lap). I drove alone the rest of the race(s), about 15 laps. That was not very exciting but safe tried to be constant and avoid mistakes, I got very good results on both races.Well, it was exciting to be 14th, try making good clean laps waiting for everybody to pit and see how many positions I was able to gain ![]() I think I bump someone in first race before deciding to pit, I hope I didn't ruin your race, I am very sorry for that.

It was a complete disasterfor me.
I had no time to practice couse of work irl, but I found a confident setup befor the race. I lost connectin in race one and took the invisibile hole in race two. I wasn't in good positions in both of cases but is important for me and my team to always finish the races. Anyway, it will go better next round. Thank you all gents!! See you around

Enjoyed that.
Race 1. Tried to make an effort not to put myself out of the race this time which worked ok but basically meant a very quiet race where I hardly saw any action at all. 5th ok though .Race 2. Started well and got myself up to second fairly early on. Going ok then the sound of inevitability - Hedlunds and DJ coming up. @ Rikard - no worries at all, I shall just have to be quicker then I wouldn't have these problems . Following the contact a made a rather extravagant entry to pit lane which involved a couple of pirouettes and made a rather slow stop as I hadn't requested a stop. Came back out and gradually got back up the field as everyone else pitted then had an exciting battle over a few laps with Christoph. Eventually managed to finish 5th. Consistent if nothing else

hey guys..
qually - did about as I expected.. plan was to keep my nose clean and finish in race one. did that, stayed out of trouble and kept consistent and benefited from other people's misfortune. finished 6th.. second race, with the inverted grid I felt like one of those rabbits on the rail at a dog race - Here comes the Pack! after all the hot shoes passed me I settled in for another consistent race. I found myself battling nikos for 10th, he was driving a very nikos race, making no mistakes and I am there hoping for a mistake - lap, after lap - until the 16th lap with cosimo coming up on the both of us I seen a very small opening, nikos went a little wide leading onto the short chute before the chicane. "The Plan" was to pull along side of him by the end of the straight, leave off the throttle, hit the brakes and flick the car right in behind him before the chicane, as I knew I wasn't going to be able to pass him. just make some noise and let him know I am there. GREAT PLAN, right up to the point of execution :o I landed up interlocked in his wheels and spinning us both out. cosimo waved as he went by us - I pulled over to let nikos get in front of me and then started to accelerate. I then noticed a lot of damage to my car and headed for the pits. 155 seconds later, I returned to the race in 14th place, but I got to cross the finish line as last one running.. sorry Nikos, as you say - Crap Happens - but I still feel bad about it ![]() that's my story... on to the next race

Lol I was wandering what you were trying to pull there. You got the outside of the straight before the chicane but you couldnt pass me, so I kept the inside and had the advantage as we went almost side by side in the chicane. I thought you were trying to pass me there from the outside, I was totally sure you would loose it, but I see now your plan was just to scare me, well you did ![]() I got a lot of damage after that, everytime I braked, the steering went wild, fortunately I could press almost full throttle at straights. Though I almost didnt make it as I hit wall vertically during a wild swerve of the steering at last lap. After this, the car moved like a crab but still managed just to get to finish line. ![]() |
