A number of things have gotten in the way of starting the ‘24 Spring League - on a personal level, after three+ years of looking, my partner and I have miraculously (and suddenly) finally entered into the purchase of our next house - and the last few weeks have been mad-hectic. The initial mad rush is just about over and I should have a bit more time to give to the racing admin.:eek:

SR4L have also exhausted the funding we secured last year through the update of the F3 mod for a third party. As a pragmatic approach, we have to move away from the expensive hosted server that we have been using for the last 12 years or so and we didn’t want to kick a league off only for it to be interrupted/disrupted by a server change.

We think we have an interim way forward - hopefully the next Tuesday race evening will help prove this - followed by a final league test race. As a reminder, the ‘favourites’ checkbox in the rf2 Matchmaker probably won’t get you to the new server even though the naming convention (!SR4L SVRx….) remains the same. For some reason, using the search facility with the leading ‘!’ isn’t reliable/working - but searching for servers using the keyword ‘SR4’ (no quotes) does seem to find our new home.

An as-yet-anonymous donor has stepped in to host this forum - which will be moved to another platform (with the same URL - just hosted elsewhere).

Push2Pass Button
Myles will probably want to give a more detailed description on how the Push2Pass system works, but for now here is a brief explanation by me:-

Under braking, the car Regenerates power to it's battery.
There is a new dial on the dashboard that shows the battery level (see picture below).

Press the Push2Pass button to deploy the battery energy to help overtake a car. You can press it again to stop the deployment if you don't want to use it all in one go. See screen shot below where to set the button:-

The downside of this system, it makes braking more harder. It's easier to lock up. For this reason in the setup page you can chose different levels of regeneration. A smaller number braking is easier but your battery takes longer to recharge. A higher number the battery recharges quicker but it's easier to lock up your rear tyres.
