We’re back to the regular format - Tuesday nights, practice from c. 7PM UK time for 10min qualy at 7:30PM then quick fire reverse grid races (9 minutes + final lap) until c. 9:30PM

Our server is back up - search for “!SR4L” or “TueFun”. Our IP is *mot* fixed - so every time my broadband resets after an outage, the IP will change and if you’ve used the ‘Favourites’ in rf2, it will break and you’ll need to find the server again.

Cars - we’ll start again with our League Edition Imps & NSUs
Track: First track, Okayama 2017 GP

Mediafire link to Imp: https://www.mediafire.com/file/8bx0muc8w...rfcmp/file
Mediafire link to NSU: https://www.mediafire.com/file/b6ixyu600...rfcmp/file

Couple of quick notes on the cars:
We developed League Edition versions based on car conversions released by (if memory serves) ISR.
The physics of the NSU and Imp are basically identical *except* that the NSU has a slightly longer wheelbase which was needed to get the wheels to match the body visually.
Configuration (setup) was opened up quite a bit and we ended up with a couple of special settings (notably rear camber - settings X1, X2 & X3 are big jumps over the final ‘normal’ numerical value. Try X1 - several of us found it a really good balance of cornering grip and traction out of corners).

I can’t remember the best driving style - I’ve just spun it a number of times but seem to remember that you really need to take it by the scruff of its neck and not be afraid to drift or slide it. I also seem to remember that I made the tyres more durable - they might get hot but don’t panic!)

As I am out of the country for three Tuesdays in a row - and we rely on a laptop with no remote access to run our race server - Tuesdays from 7th Jan to 21st Jan inclusive will be a bit different…

I’ll let Stu (from SCB) and Cruicky explain the details, but SCB (who run their own Thursday night races at which a number of us try to attend) have agreed to physically host our Tuesday races. Cruicky will run the races on the night.

Our SR4L Discord channels are unaffected - I suggest we continue to use these on Tuesdays to avoid confusion - also worth checking there for any announcements as it’s a common landing point for most on the night.

Two things to bear in mind (Stu / Cruicky will confirm in due course)
I) the server *might not* be tagged with the SR4L keyword (but will be on a fixed IP address so you should be able to Favourite it reliably)
Ii) The server *might not* be up 24/7 for practice

Have fun - please continue to support the races and SCB. See you all back in the usual place on the 28th (and on SCB Thursdays)…

Trans Am Golden Era (League Edition)

Firstly, I'm aware that SGS (formerly ISR?) have a version of the TAGE cars on Steam... The back story is that we tidied up the TAGE car pack in 2022 - slimming it down (reducing excessive skin numbers - and therefore file sizes) and fixing a few issues (broken icons in the car chooser, some z-plane graphical glitches etc.) - and then ran a Sunday League with the resulting TAGELE pack...

I can't recall if I/we tweaked physics - I think not (or not as much as other SR4L League Editions anyway).

And I couldn't take part in the Sunday League so missed out on some of the hard work I'd put in!

We are in contact with a group of Thursday night racers via stu3284 who organises races on SCB Server 1 (password scb). Stu plans to reciprocate by flagging our Tuesday night races - hopefully we can build a bigger rf2 community between us.

Quick reminder - the current SR4L server is *not* on a fixed IP address - you cannot ‘favourite’ it on the rf3 matchmaker. Sorry!
