Wow, I was given 23 or 32s for tires alone, that was absurd.I got caught well off guard during the race by the no DRS at all, I had geared my car for it and I didn't realize until my final fifth of the race that by shifting into 6th I was actually losing speed, effectively running on 5 gears (which isn't good). So another bit of thing that went wrong, luckily this race didn't mean anything.
I agree the timing was very bad, I tried sticking out and not watching F1 but as you said Steve, bad timing. I was hoping for at least some on track battle but by lap 3 I was 5s ahead and 3rd place 2s behind and dropping. I lapped someone on the first few laps too, the grid was too small and extremely sparse in speed. I cannot imagine having done more than 3 laps of practice before connecting today would have done.
ps: Thanks for the server with this combo, by the way. This is the best rFactor 2 car and deserves a league somewhere (maybe Saturdays!).
