Fuel calculation is off because the track maker was in the wrong car when making the track's AIW. When making an AIW, the Fuel Calculation function needs to be done in a specific car so that the game engine can adjust based on that known quantity. If you're in a different car than the default, it throws off fuel estimation for any car you drive on that track. (At least, that's how it worked in the original rFactor; I assume the same is true for rF2 as the AIW system seems to be relatively the same. I haven't actually made any track AIW for rF2 but did plenty in rF1 with the wacky track layouts I used to make for a fun banger-style league.)
