When you pit there is a pit crew instead of a big red arrow at your pit box. This keeps confusing me.

Yes I think it looks great, it's just that I'm so used to looking for a big red arrow that I keep missing my pitbox but I will learn.

I can't find the server this evening, even though I was there an hour ago. it no longer shows up for me... is something broken? ahhhh now see - :eek: Invailed Serverdetails... Best regards Micha

It was not too bad of a race for me, did not spin once. I did decide to keep the regen setting very low as I was finding braking to tricky. At that setting I got to use the Deployment just the once. Ed was a bit faster (again), but I still had him in sight. I enter pits 4 seconds behind Ed, but come out 14 seconds behind o_O. I need to figure out why I lost 10 seconds. I did loose time getting stuck behind Tim who crashed into the entrance of the pit lane in front of me :O  , but I did not loose 10 seconds there.Weldone on the win Ed. CU all in the next race.

The race was going well until I spun in the second stint entering turn 1. Thankfully there was enough of a gap to retain the lead. I don't use KERS and, as Myles said, the default setup is very good. The only thing I have changed is the gear ratios and brake bias. Brake bias adjustment is still necessary since rear tyres seem to wear faster than fronts. I start a stint at 58 front bias and end up about 61. Like the '73 Porsche RSR, this is a car you can get off the line by slamming it into 1st with no clutch at full revs. You just need to choose an appropriate 1st gear ratio.
In the first stint I had the info display on tyre condition and was watching [USER=10]@DJCruicky[/USER] in the mirror. For the second stint I couldn't see him and had gap information on the display which might have given me overconfidence on the tyres which probably led to the spin. [USER=10]@DJCruicky[/USER] you seem to get all the bad luck during pit stops. I was pushing right up to the pit entrance line and on the limiter in the pits.

What did [USER=581]@Bruce[/USER] do to get a DQ on lap4? The front and rear tyres are not an identical compound (or construction?) - the point is, anyway, that the rear is not just a scaled up version of the front. Think back to the 6-wheel F1 cars of the 70s where (allegedly) one of the reasons they went out of fashion was that the development of the smaller tyres failed to keep up with the larger ones everyone else was using… I’ll take a look at the pit-stop spec - it was set very early in the development of the car (early v1.x) and may include a random element for some changes (this is normal in rf2 otherwise all pit stops would be identical). Might be that the random element is rather more generous than other vehicles. See how you get on with the KERS - personally I thought Istanbul was quite a slippy track and the gradients on some of the corners were very challenging for KERS - the track layout also didn’t give a particular benefit to deployment. I don’t think we want to make continuous changes to the car during the season, but if anything does need attention given the sudden increase in miles under the belt and with a wider range of driving styles, we could bring a mid season update…

Has anyone had this odd glitch?
I had it once last week and had it twice this week. I'm driving, then for no reason the screen goes blank and there is a message that says "Disqualified for going the wrong way" Then after that, the graphics are black and white monochrome colour. I managed to record it live.... Have to close rFactor fully to get it normal again. Any one?

At last Sunday's race I rolled the car and got disorientated in VR. Drove off in the wrong direction and got DQed.
Don't think I'll make it tonight, but never say never. Have a good race, pretty cool track.

My race was all good, first 4 corners Ed Pond and Me were side by side but I managed to keep the lead. Ed Pond was on my tail for 5 laps but then he made some uncharacteristic spins that gave me a big gap to him. Pit stop was good this time for me too. I did use the Push2Pass button lots this race with Regen set to full.

I don’t usually practice much for the league events given that I don’t get to race in them - but did a bit this time and found that the car could stomach front bias above 60 even when regen wasn’t active. Below that, it was quite easy to get it sideways under braking… It looks like I might be able to join you for the final race of the league though! My partner is away for once. just about to try to load the third track.

Gary has now been awarded 11 points manually. Technically, he didn’t make the required %he of race distance so the system awarded no points.
