rF2 BMW-M1 Autumn League (8 Races)
#81
That was fun - glad I had a chance to race ’my’ BMW for once!

I was on quite a catch up not having driven the car since releasing it and was jolly happy to get so close to Cruicky.

In practice I’d found I could keep the car together for 15 or so laps - and the pit boxes were close together so I thought a late pit might work. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn repairs off - so after almost rolling the car when we first caught up with Bruce (my fault - I was distracted), I lost 10 secs or so that I could’ve saved as the damage didn’t affect the handling - I then had to work really hard to beat Dan which I only managed on the penultimate lap…

Good stuff!
Cool

Well done to Ed Pond again for another championship win. It was a close season between him and me, but he got a bit too quick near the end.
Dan scooped up most of the 3rd places, well done there.

Final results:

Well done to all that took part in the league and stuck at it to the end.

Thank you for making the league happen. It was a lot of fun and something to really look forward to each week. The car had a lot of depth when it came to setup which also helped. I'm curious how much people used KERS. I deployed it once during a race, gained about 0.5s but on the next lap lost about 2s because of loss of confidence on the brakes (after adjusting on-board bias forward). Apart from that I didn't use it.

Yes, I was using it. For me only 0.2 seconds gain on a lap. I don't think it was it making me slower next lap. Not sure but.
